00:00 Coming off of a fun one this past weekend,
00:02 obviously it was fun to see our players get out there
00:04 and play, you know, extremely well,
00:06 and a fun environment.
00:08 Autzen Stadium was unbelievable,
00:09 and expecting some of the same things
00:11 for our volleyball team this week
00:12 as they host a big tournament.
00:14 So, we can open it up.
00:16 Excited to go play this game Friday.
00:18 Turn on the left. Eric, same work.
00:20 Obviously, having played this team once before,
00:22 what are some of the lasting memories,
00:23 and what are some areas that you really are going to be dialed
00:25 into and improve upon from the previous performance?
00:28 Yeah, I mean, we didn't finish,
00:29 didn't win the game last time,
00:30 so that's the kind of thing that sticks with you.
00:33 But, you know, our coach has been working extremely hard
00:35 as soon as our game was over with
00:36 as far as getting prepped, and so are our players.
00:38 So, we've had some really good days of practice here so far.
00:41 Excited for another good day tomorrow.
00:43 Front left, James.
00:45 Michael Penix hasn't quite been the same quarterback
00:47 the last six games since you guys did play them.
00:49 Is there something that you've picked up on
00:51 as to why that is,
00:52 and what's made him less effective the last six games?
00:55 I think he's still won every single game, you know,
00:58 and maybe he hasn't had some of the stats
01:00 that he's had earlier in the season,
01:01 but he's obviously a really talented quarterback,
01:03 a really good quarterback.
01:04 So, you know, it's late in the season.
01:06 Everybody gets a little bit banged up.
01:08 But to me, he's still playing really elite football.
01:11 All right, Zach.
01:12 Getting back to this game, it was obviously
01:13 one of your biggest goals since playing them in October.
01:15 Now that you're here,
01:17 what's the energy like among the players,
01:18 and do you at times have to kind of temper that energy
01:21 to kind of keep them focused?
01:22 No, we've got great energy.
01:24 I don't think it's really my job
01:25 to necessarily temper the energy,
01:27 but more so make sure that we maintain the focus
01:30 on where it needs to be,
01:31 and our guys have done a great job of that.
01:32 They realize that energy doesn't win games.
01:34 Execution does.
01:35 All the way in the back, Matt.
01:37 How well do you feel like you guys generated pressure
01:39 on Panic's the first time around,
01:42 and just how important is that going to be?
01:44 Yeah, I think it's just as important
01:46 that, you know, rush and coverage work together.
01:47 You know, we were able to get some hits on him
01:49 at the same time, you know, he was able to complete
01:51 some passes when we were able to get hits on him.
01:52 So I think it's really important that it's a combination.
01:55 You know, you want to have great rush.
01:56 You want to be able to get to the quarterback,
01:58 which very few people have been able to do,
02:00 but also do a good job of matching routes
02:02 and patterns in the back end.
