00:27 as the first Presidential Awardee and UN Ambassador of Goodwill

00:31 Her four children were also named Ambassador of Goodwill

00:35 while her mother, former Education Secretary Mona Dumlao Valizno

00:40 was re-appointed as President Emeritus of UNAP

00:44 This is the first time that UNAP was chosen

00:48 by a family that will contribute to the development goals of the organization

00:54 This has inspired me to work even harder for UNAP

00:58 I'm grateful that it's the first time that they have appointed my whole family

01:03 because my children and myself have been appointed as Ambassadors of Goodwill for UNAP

01:07 One of her goals is to build UN Headquarters here in the country

01:13 but it will serve the whole Asia region

01:17 to strengthen its programs related to peace, human rights, environmental protection

01:23 and other sustainable development goals of the UN

01:26 where the whole world will benefit from

01:29 To help banner more popularity so that we can raise more funds for the association

01:36 doing more charitable work for the future, for the good of humanity

01:41 for peace and progress and goodwill

01:44 According to the President of UNAP,

01:46 they were chosen from 30 individuals for the first Presidential Award

01:52 but only a few were chosen and became recipients of the so-called "parangal"

01:58 Our first consideration in choosing the awardees for this very important event

02:03 is their contribution to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

02:08 and there are 17 goals

02:10 Each of them was given a chance to come up with organizations or activities

02:16 in line with the particular goals

02:19 The awarding ceremony was held this morning at Mira Nila House in Quezon City
