00:02 Virginia hosting Texas A&M.
00:05 The Cavaliers not the ranked side.
00:07 The Aggies number 14 in the country, but
00:10 they only scored 47 points against that pack line defense led by Tony Bennett.
00:15 Virginia victorious by 12, 59-47.
00:19 We said it on the show yesterday, Donnie, that the line just screamed Virginia.
00:23 It was two and a half in favor of the Wahoos.
00:26 It worked to three and a half by the time we got the tip last night.
00:29 In Charlottesville, Virginia wins and covers, and
00:32 a total that worked its way down to 124 and a half.
00:36 Stays well under with that final score being 59-47.
00:40 >> Yeah, I thought the game would stay under here and
00:42 sometimes in those early season matchups, you don't have enough information.
00:45 But it's like, okay, we know what Virginia does like to do, and
00:48 particularly with Texas A&M starting the season, not a great three point shooting
00:51 team, look what they went in that game, four of 23 overall from the three point line.
00:55 And the handicap was, okay, if you have a team that doesn't shoot the three point
00:58 shot great against that packed line defense,
01:00 you know they're really going to struggle inside the arc.
01:03 They shot 30% as a team from the floor.
01:06 That's why you only wind up with 47 points from an offense that was very good
01:10 coming into this basketball game.
01:11 Good spot for the Virginia Cavaliers.
01:13 I know, at least from my perspective, they're one of these teams that come March
01:17 and I like them knocked out as soon as possible cuz I like to enjoy basketball.
01:21 I have to say, same thing with Iowa football.
01:24 If you can win this way, that's the best way to do it here.
01:26 And by the way, Virginia doesn't win this way by picking up regular season wins.
01:30 They got some NCAA championships, they're doing it this way.
