00:14 Hi, I'm Bill, Barbara, honestly.
00:18 This is Portchester.
00:19 This is Portchester, the crossway.
00:21 We've been living here now for 17 years
00:24 and we love it here, we love the people,
00:27 it really is fantastic.
00:29 We've been charity-linked for 50-odd years really,
00:35 not for charity, but for the last 15 years
00:40 people have said to us, "You really ought to do it for charity"
00:43 and that's what we've done.
00:44 We've looked after, done a lot of charity work now
00:47 for the hospitals and schools
00:49 and three years ago we got involved with the local food bank, Woodseas,
00:56 and so far it's going very, very well indeed.
01:01 With the three years so far we've made for them £9,200.
01:06 This year the little challenge, and I'm sure we're going to do it,
01:10 with the people's help here,
01:13 we need about another £800 and then that'll be £10,000 we've made for the charity.
01:18 It is our intention now that because of the help that we've had, the interest,
01:23 I mean everyone has been really great at it,
01:26 providing we're well enough we should continue to do it I think.
01:30 For the food bank, there's so many things we're going for.
01:35 It's obviously local people, all the money that gets spent and gets distributed
01:40 comes from the people locally, the vast majority of it,
01:44 and goes to the people locally.
01:46 Well mainly, I mean what we love the most I suppose,
01:50 is the excitement from the kids
01:52 because they love it.
01:54 The parents are interested, of course they love it as well,
01:57 but it's the excitement that the kids get,
01:59 and putting the pennies into the box, which they love,
02:04 and we've actually encouraged that this year.
02:07 You know, the kids love it and it helps us.
02:10 I mean last year we got over £300 with pennies, didn't we?
02:14 Yes, I know, which was a lot of fun taking it to the bank.
02:19 And the money is going, and we're going to get a lot of money as well
02:23 from the kids putting their pennies in there.
02:25 They love every minute of it.
02:27 And so, the adults are obviously very interested as well,
02:31 and they know us now, and we know them,
02:34 and we got to know a lot of people by face,
02:37 and just in the town walking down there,
02:40 and we love it.
02:42 And we'll continue.
