00:00 "Oh honey, we are so glad to have you back!"
00:03 Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for moments where Meg's family
00:08 actually came through for her or did something courteous for her on their behalf.
00:13 Spoilers ahead!
00:14 "You gotta know, I was only thinking about your happiness."
00:17 "I know, Dad.
00:18 And I appreciate it."
00:20 Number 10.
00:21 Peter Stands Up to Her Tormentors as Principal "I'm gonna do the ice bucket challenge.
00:26 Three years too late, but right on time for a principal, and making no less sense than
00:30 it did when it was current."
00:35 When Peter becomes the principal of Meg's high school in this episode, he uses his position
00:40 to discipline troublemakers, especially students who pick on Meg.
00:43 "This is gonna make people's sneakers sticky, and then we're gonna have to listen to 'quick,
00:47 quick, quick' all day.
00:49 Well, I won't have it.
00:50 Get on your knees and lick that up."
00:52 "What?
00:53 Are you serious?"
00:54 "Yeah, I'm serious.
00:55 I'm the principal."
00:56 Because this is Peter we're talking about, he takes his position as school administrator
01:00 too far and horribly abuses his power.
01:03 Peter is normally neglectful of Meg, if not downright abusive.
01:07 So it's nice to see him use a position of influence to help his daughter for a change.
01:11 "He wouldn't kiss Ruth at the Sadie Hawkins dance, even though she bought him dinner before
01:15 at Walt's Roast Beef."
01:16 "Well, I don't see how that's got anything to do with…"
01:18 "And he called you fat."
01:19 "Oh, I'm gonna squish him."
01:21 With Peter's help, Meg feels seen and as if someone is looking out for her.
01:26 9.
01:27 Peter and Meg Bond and Learn Responsibility "Dad, I've been hearing that song in the
01:31 backseat of your car since I was a little kid."
01:33 "Huh, I never knew you were listening.
01:36 Never even knew you were there.
01:37 Wait, were you that little fat boy with the glasses?"
01:39 "Yes, Dad."
01:40 On a road trip to a college interview, Peter learns to appreciate Meg after he finds out
01:45 that she knows so much about him.
01:47 He starts hanging out with his daughter and they begin to do things together, including
01:51 sharing a cutaway flashback.
01:52 "Dad, they're all bruised and filthy."
01:54 "Yeah, these might be thrown at buses apples, not eaten apples."
01:57 "See Meg, you can be in the flashback, 'cause we're friends now."
02:01 However, many of their bonding activities are reckless or dangerous and eventually,
02:06 Meg comes to the conclusion that she has to break things off with Peter for her own good.
02:11 While the activities they do together are often stressful, Meg does enjoy the time she
02:15 gets to spend with her father.
02:16 "Ahh, my little girl's growing up!
02:20 Ahahahahaha!"
02:21 "Yes, she is, Dad.
02:24 Yes, she is."
02:25 Number 8.
02:26 Peter uses his Lando persona to make Meg look good.
02:30 "Hey man, cool specs."
02:32 "Thanks, G. I'm the new kid in town, Lando Griffin.
02:36 No relation."
02:37 When Peter goes undercover as a student in Meg's high school, he assumes a fake identity
02:41 that makes him the most popular kid in school.
02:43 "Gotta give it up.
02:44 Give up the toad now.
02:45 Thanks to you, Lando.
02:46 Give it up.
02:47 Give up the toad now."
02:51 This gives him a chance to be one of the cool kids, which is something he didn't get to
02:55 be the first time he went to high school.
02:57 However, when he sees that Meg goes to a big dance alone, he decides to boost her popularity
03:03 by pretending to have been romantically rejected by her.
03:06 "That's my dream girl.
03:07 But I'm not good enough for her and she dumped me.
03:10 So now, heartbroken, I will ride recklessly into the night and up Dead Man's Curve.
03:16 Goodbye, Meg.
03:17 I love you."
03:18 His selfless act works and Meg gets a chance to be popular herself.
03:23 7.
03:24 Stewie Repays Meg For Saving His Life
03:26 "Meg Griffin, you saved your brother's life, so here's your showcase of prizes.
03:31 You'll be the talk of the town with your new macaroni necklace."
03:34 Stewie may be a vicious psychopath to most of humanity, but he is relatively nice to
03:39 Meg.
03:40 After she prevents him from choking to death at a birthday party, he decides to make it
03:43 up to her, by improving her social standing and making her life a little more bearable.
03:49 "Look at her.
03:50 She just sits there and takes it.
03:52 She deserves a better life than this, Brian.
03:55 And you know what?
03:56 I'm going to give it to her."
03:57 While these attempts at boosting Meg's popularity don't work as planned, his setting up Meg
04:01 on a date with Kevin indirectly helps by giving her more confidence, despite the date itself
04:06 being a failure.
04:07 "More appetizer?"
04:08 "No thanks.
04:09 Cauliflower gives me the scoots."
04:12 Stewie isn't known for his compassion, so it's impressive that he not only notices
04:17 that Meg needs help, but also goes out of his way to help her.
04:21 "It actually felt great to be empowered for once.
04:24 Good night, guys."
04:25 "You know what, Brian?
04:27 We actually did make Meg's life a little bit better.
04:31 She got to dump someone."
04:32 Number 6.
04:33 Peter and Lois save Meg from a group of strange men.
04:36 "Well, I don't just shoot school events.
04:38 My real passion is discovering talent like yours."
04:41 "Really?
04:42 You think I could model?"
04:43 "Sure, you've got a great look."
04:44 "Here's my number.
04:45 Give me a call if you're interested."
04:47 Meg finds success as a model in this episode and is invited to a house full of strangers.
04:52 Peter and Lois, tipped off by Chris by the kind of work Meg is doing now, know that something
04:56 bad could happen and intervene.
04:59 "God, what happened?
05:00 It seems like just yesterday she was born."
05:02 "Mr. Griffin, would you like to cut the cord?"
05:05 "Sure."
05:06 "Okay, that wasn't the cord, and now you've got a girl."
05:10 With the help of Quagmire and his innate ability to find other men of his ilk, they're able
05:14 to find Meg just in time before anything permanently scarring can be done to her.
05:19 They also apologize for not supporting her and are able to get her to quit her modeling
05:23 before it could damage her psychologically.
05:25 "We love you, sweetheart, and you deserve better than this."
05:28 "Thanks, you guys."
05:34 Number 5.
05:35 Peter is overprotective of Meg.
05:37 "I never realized until now how much I've taken her for granted.
05:40 I mean, she's my only daughter and I feel like I've never treated her as well as I should
05:45 have.
05:46 Hey Meg, you got something on your shirt."
05:49 Upon almost losing Meg, Peter becomes more appreciative of her and does a series of nice
05:53 things for her.
05:54 He defends her against people whom he sees as a threat to her, including Connie D'Amico.
05:59 Unfortunately, his overprotective helicopter parenting makes him suspicious of a nice guy
06:03 named Michael whom Meg is dating.
06:06 This makes things awkward when Peter goes to great lengths to make sure that her boyfriend
06:09 is on the level.
06:10 "But I think your dad is sitting at that table over there."
06:13 "What?
06:14 Where?"
06:15 "Well, I can't tell if it's him.
06:16 I think he's wearing some kind of disguise."
06:19 "Oh my God, Dad!"
06:21 However, his behavior comes in handy when Meg announces that she's pregnant, even though
06:26 she's not.
06:27 And Peter's confrontation with Michael persuades him to marry her, even though he eventually
06:30 doesn't.
06:31 "Oh Michael, I love you too.
06:34 And I have some wonderful news.
06:36 I'm not pregnant!"
06:39 "What?"
06:41 4.
06:43 Lois Helps Her Get Revenge on Connie "I'm like one of those bald eagles you
06:48 see on the Discovery Channel.
06:50 Beautiful to look at, but mess with one of my chicks and I'll use my razor-sharp talons
06:54 to rip your f***ing eyes out.
06:56 Cookies are done!"
06:57 When Meg is humiliated by Connie and the popular kids, Lois offers to help her get revenge.
07:02 But when Meg rejects Lois' help only to be further humiliated, Lois overlooks Meg's
07:06 rejection and comes through for her by siccing Quagmire on these kids.
07:10 "MOM!"
07:11 "I like where this is going.
07:13 Giggity, giggity, gig-a-dy!"
07:15 While exposing these kids to Quagmire is horrible, she is thinking of Meg while doing it.
07:20 This kind of dedication to helping out Meg would have been unheard of by the time the
07:23 episode "Seahorse Seashell Party" aired.
07:26 But this is an episode from an earlier season where Lois is a caring mother and isn't
07:31 burned out and callous.
07:32 "Now if we set up booby traps here, here, and…"
07:35 "How'd you get these blueprints?"
07:36 "Oh, your mother has her ways.
07:37 She has her ways.
07:38 Can I have the blueprints to the D'Amico house?"
07:39 "Sure, here you go."
07:40 "I'm not a kid anymore."
07:41 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:42 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:43 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:44 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:45 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:46 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:47 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:48 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:49 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:50 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:51 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:52 "I'm a grown woman now."
07:53 "I'm a grown woman now."
08:18 When she holds up a pharmacy, Brian tries to get Meg to reconnect with the gentle soul
08:21 she used to be by telling her about an article that he had written about her.
08:25 Meg is touched by the article and it ends up redeeming her.
08:28 "Oh my god, I can't believe I did this.
08:31 I was just so tired of being everyone's whipping girl that it felt kind of good to
08:35 do some of the whipping."
08:36 Brian's writing is rarely seen as doing anyone doing any good, but in this case, it's
08:42 able to save Meg's life and keep her from going back to prison.
08:45 2.
08:46 Peter and Lois Stop Meg From Hooking Up With Quagmire
08:49 "Well, it's your 18th birthday, Meg.
08:51 That's a very important milestone in a young girl's, I mean, a young woman's life.
08:56 Hey, welcome to the adult club, huh?"
08:58 The minute Meg turns 18, Quagmire takes an interest in her, and the two of them start
09:02 dating.
09:03 At first, Lois wants to give Meg her space, but she comes around to Peter's side who
09:07 knows from the beginning that Quagmire is bad news.
09:11 "And I want you to stay the hell away from her!"
09:13 "Peter, it's me, Quagmire.
09:15 This is what I do.
09:16 Besides, Meg is 18 now and you've gotta let go.
09:19 I've done your job.
09:20 It's my turn now."
09:21 Fortunately, they're able to stop Meg from becoming intimate with Quagmire at his cabin
09:25 getaway by bursting in at the last minute.
09:27 If not for their intervention, Meg could have gotten a disease from Quagmire or something
09:31 more traumatic could have happened.
09:33 "If you ever touch my daughter again, I will cut your thing off and feed it to Brian."
09:38 "Okay."
09:39 "Uhh… let's move on."

09:58 Stewie and Brian Rescue Meg From Captivity
10:08 Meg is kidnapped in this parody of Taken and she is trafficked into a slavery ring.
10:12 Since Peter explicitly states that he doesn't have any skills, it's up to Stewie and Brian
10:16 to work together to save Meg from a horrible fate.
10:19 They use their detective skills and put their lives in danger in order to track down Meg.
10:24 "Hey, got one more here."
10:25 "Oh, where are we?
10:26 I'm from Atlanta.
10:27 I don't know where we are."
10:28 "Hey, you better hurry.
10:29 They're starting soon."
10:30 However, the person Meg is sold to would have given her a fantastic life but ends up getting
10:37 deep-sixed by Stewie.
10:39 Eh, it's the thought that counts.
10:41 Most kindly of all, Stewie uses Men in Black technology to wipe Meg's mind so she can
10:45 forget the whole experience.
10:47 "I mean, one minute I was being proposed to by a handsome Arabian prince and the next
10:51 thing I know I'm waking up in a French hospital."
10:54 "Oh, and we heard from Ruth's parents she had a tongue ripped out.
10:58 I guess we got off easy, huh?"
11:01 What do you all think about Meg?
11:02 Do you think she deserves better?
11:03 Let us know in the comments.
11:05 "You did a good job being my dad."
