00:00 What do you see for Tyree in terms of that?
00:04 >> Hard work.
00:06 I think he's become his hardest critic.
00:08 He's been able to look at himself and give an honest evaluation.
00:11 Development, I think he, to be honest with you,
00:16 humbled a little bit early and really responded in the right way.
00:22 Controlling what he can, stuff like that.
00:24 >> In what ways would you say that he was a huge loss?
00:27 >> Everybody has expectations going into this league,
00:32 how they envision themselves.
00:35 And then reality can be a little bit different in this league,
00:39 making the jump from college.
00:41 And I worked with Jaylen Phillips in Miami,
00:45 Adolfo Owe, Baltimore, other first round picks.
00:50 And I sometimes tell these guys, I said, it's not your fault,
00:55 you guys are recruited at such a young age.
00:59 They walk on the field, they look a certain way, and
01:02 they just run by different players because they can.
01:04 And when you get to the NFL, it's the best versus the best.
01:07 It's your technique versus his technique.
01:09 There's a process there.
01:11 I don't have to deal with grown men and being blocked in this league.
01:15 And he's been awesome in terms of his attitude and
01:19 not focusing on the results, which everybody wants to see.
01:23 Just staying at it.
01:25 And he's been great.
01:28 >> Another rookie that we haven't gotten a chance to see too much of is Byron Young.
01:32 That's the type of guy he's drafted.
01:33 What have you guys seen from him behind the scenes in terms of how he's come along?
01:37 >> Same thing.
01:38 Byron's a pretty sound player.
01:40 I know he wants his shot to play.
01:43 I know he wants to play more.
01:45 I think Byron's, the best thing for
01:48 Byron right now, this year, that he's benefited from is watching Cenk.
01:53 Watching Adam Butler.
01:54 Watching the way they go about their business every day.
01:58 And not that he's far off at all, but
02:00 this league's all about the details and getting to watch them.
02:04 And those two have played at a high level and it's a competitive deal.
02:07 Byron's time will come.
02:08 I told him this morning, I said, he's gonna be a great player in this league.
02:13 His opportunity is gonna come.
02:14 >> Sometimes people look at it as a negative.
02:17 That he's maybe not just enough.
02:19 I mean, there's a reason for that.
02:20 There's players that are playing better than him.
02:22 >> Yeah.
02:23 >> And he is on a development track.
02:25 Is that a reminder to Cenk to give them and some others,
02:29 this isn't a bad thing that's happening.
02:31 >> Yeah, absolutely.
02:32 You can't rush the process.
02:35 It's a game, you just heard Ash talk about it.
02:37 You're looking for consistency, right?
02:39 Well, I did it right here.
02:40 Well, it's like batting percentage.
02:43 Well, Cenk does it at a pretty high level.
02:44 He doesn't miss a back block ever.
02:46 He plays a double team right pretty much at a high level.
02:49 So you look at other guys and you're one for five or what.
02:55 I don't know what the percentages of the environment, but
02:57 that's kind of what you're looking at as a coach.
02:59 I know he's gonna do his job and at a pretty high level.
03:02 And I think they are pushing him to be even better.
