A master sculptor has spent five weeks carving a life-sized Willy Wonka - using more than 100kg of chocolate.
The 6ft 2in model - inspired by the eponymous character in the new movie Wonka - went on display in London's Trafalgar Square.
Sculpted into the popular character’s iconic pose, along with a hat and cane, the creation was moulded and hand crafted from more than 100 litres of melted chocolate by sculptor Jen Lindsey-Clark.
Jen, who was behind a bust of King Charles ahead of the coronation, said: "As a chocolate sculptor, this was the absolute dream commission.
"Just about everyone in the world of confectionary has been inspired by the magic of Willy Wonka and Dahl’s inventive storytelling one way or another and I am certainly no exception.
“I grew up on the books and watched the original Wilder Wonka film religiously every Easter and Christmas as a child, so to have had the chance to bring such an enduring character to life in chocolate has been such a labour of love."
The new film, which is written and directed by Paul King and is released on Friday December 8 by Warner Bros, is based on Roald Dahl’s literary classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
It follows the life of a young Wonka, chock-full of ideas, determined to change the world - and shows viewers the path he took to become the iconic character several generations have come to know and love.

00:05 My name is Yinka Patini and I'm in Trafalgar Square this morning to unveil a life-size
00:17 Willy Wonka statue celebrating the release of the Wonka movie.
00:21 I'm Jen Lindsay-Clark, I'm a chocolate sculptor. It's taken over five weeks to create,
00:26 about 200 hours, three of us on the job. The head sculpts initially, Tim Simpson made that
00:31 in clay and then me and Jeff Thomas created the body, experimenting with all the different
00:36 textures that we could find, right up to his wonderful, iconic top hat. My favourite part
00:41 was the boots, which took the longest to get right, but also the velvet texture on the coat
00:46 was a triumph. My first reaction was wow, all the textures and his outfit and his shoes and
00:52 his hair and his hat, I think it's magnificent. It's a dream come true for me.
