00:00 Your song was really very nice.
00:02 Thank you guys.
00:03 You know what, I was looking all over social media and I saw his videos on The Voice, different
00:09 guestings here in the Philippines and even concerts.
00:12 And he even joined with some of our local artists.
00:16 You had sang with Zephanie and among other singers.
00:19 How does it feel like you had that kind of journey here in the Philippines?
00:22 Tell us more.
00:23 I feel like the Philippines has been really the biggest journey I've had in music because
00:30 they've been the most receiving and accepting of me to come back.
00:33 Even though I'm not Filipino, I feel like in my heart, like, "Puso na langan Pinoy."
00:37 Right?
00:38 Oh nice.
00:39 And so it's, I always get welcomed to families.
00:41 I always get welcomed to like, you know, dinners and whatnot.
00:44 And they always let me sing.
00:45 So they keep having me back and I'm thankful for it.
00:47 You know, they keep food on my table and I'm very thankful.
00:50 Yeah, I'm really thankful to the church here this morning.
00:53 Can you see that wrinkle on his eyes?
00:56 So sweet.
00:57 That's what I'm talking about.
00:58 We want to know what inspired you to pursue a singing career and how was your journey
01:02 so far?
01:03 Well, I think what inspired me to do music was, I got into a bad skiing accident, downhill
01:09 snow skiing when I was 15.
01:11 And I couldn't really play many sports after that.
01:14 And I woke up one day and I was like praying to God.
01:17 I said, "God, what am I going to do with my life now?"
01:20 I wanted to be a hockey player my whole life.
01:22 And He just said, "You're going to sing."
01:25 And I was about 17 years old.
01:27 And I started to sing.
01:30 And He started opening doors in Nashville and moved to LA.
01:33 And then I went to Hawaii, performed at the Society of Seven.
01:36 And then I'm in the Philippines, maybe like, oh, switching around.
01:40 So we can see actually the voice there, right?
01:43 Yeah.
01:44 So how was this whole experience for you?
01:45 Actually, he was singing some of the Andrea Bocelli songs, "The Prayer."
01:50 Very Italian, very operatic.
01:51 Some sample from you.
01:52 Yeah, we can.
01:53 It would be nice.
01:54 Yeah.
01:55 Can you let us hear?
01:56 Or maybe Tagalog song.
01:57 Oh yeah, "Sang yung maulit muli."
01:58 Wow!
01:59 Yeah!
02:00 I like that song.
02:01 Let's try some songs.
02:02 Go ahead.
02:03 Yeah, go.
02:04 Okay.
02:05 So, we're going to cheat.
02:27 Everybody.
02:28 Wow!
02:29 the Philippines.
02:36 Yeah!
02:37 I love it.
02:38 You see, the smile on TP's face today is really different from the normal.
02:41 No, I'm really grateful because of foreign artists here and singing our, one of the pillars
02:47 of Filipino music.
02:49 Well, Philippine music, OPM, the ballads, they're beautiful.
02:53 The melodies are beautiful.
02:54 Like, what they mean.
02:55 It's like so much emotion, sensitivity.
02:57 And that's, you know, I'm a balladeer, so I love that stuff.
03:00 Yeah, and actually, there is another foreign singer, Troy, who's also singing some of the
03:07 Filipino songs as well.
03:09 So, you know, many foreigners are really loving Filipino music because of its emotion, or
03:16 emotiveness, the uniqueness of the song.
03:18 Okay.
03:19 Tama.
03:20 Okay, but if you could collaborate with any Filipino artist, who would you dream to collaborate
03:25 with and why?
03:26 Well, one of my favorite voices in the Philippines is Ice Segura.
03:30 Yeah, of course.
03:31 And I'm lucky enough to collaborate with Ice this month.
03:34 That's going to be wet.
03:35 Okay, so the 10th is going to be in Siargao, and then on the 13th, Ice comes to Clowns.
03:42 Okay, okay.
03:43 Which, it's a benefit show.
03:44 And then on the 15th, we're doing Amarata.
03:48 Okay, okay.
03:49 And that's another, I'll be there too.
03:51 So, yeah.
03:52 She's probably, right now, I'm going to say Ice because that's safe.
03:55 Okay.
03:56 Actually, she was here maybe like a few weeks ago.
03:59 We guessed it here also.
04:00 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:01 And with Ice, what is the favorite song of Ice that she likes to sing?
04:05 "Pakisabi na lang."
04:07 Let's do it, let's do it.
04:08 Come on, let's do it.
04:09 He's very knowledgeable about all the Filipino songs.
04:12 Let's do that song.
04:13 We'll save that one for later.
04:14 Okay.
04:15 Okay, that's good to know.
04:16 I need a guitar for that one.
04:18 Okay, so you have any social media accounts of your artists who could follow you?
04:22 Yeah, because mine got deleted, so I'm rebuilding it.
04:25 Oh, wow.
04:26 I got hacked in a whole long story, but Ryan D. Gallagher, that's my Instagram.
04:30 That's my, oh, right here, Ryan D. Gallagher, Instagram, @x, that's on TikTok, all those, you can find me there.
04:36 Yeah, maybe invite the viewers today to watch you on your upcoming shows.
04:41 So, please, guys, come to my shows.
04:44 Come see Ice, come see us.
04:46 We're doing benefit shows.
04:47 It's the holiday season.
04:48 Get out in the traffic, brave it, and come see the shows.
04:52 I bet they will brave the traffic just for you.
04:55 I will definitely join with you with all your performances.
04:58 No, just kidding.
04:59 Let's see what's going to happen.
05:00 But, of course, what would you advise to all our aspiring singers looking to enter the music industry?
05:07 Well, it's sacrifice, but if you have the gift and God says go, then you got to be obedient to that.
05:13 But, you know, there's a lot of things I don't do well.
05:15 Luckily, music, I do somewhat okay.
05:17 So, that's my gift.
05:18 But if it's your gift, go for it, you know, and you got to be obedient to what you've been given.
05:22 Okay, let me call God now.
05:23 Hello, God.
05:24 Okay.
05:25 This is God.
05:26 I think you should be a singer.
05:27 Hello, God.
05:28 God, hello.
05:29 He's not picking up.
05:30 I thought God is here, God.
05:31 No, God said stick to hosting.
05:33 Hi, God.
05:34 Do you think I can be a singer someday?
05:36 Yes, you can.
05:37 Oh, my God.
05:38 Thank you, God.
05:39 I'm going to look forward to that.
05:40 Anyway.
