00:03 we can see in the results of the 2022 Program for International Student Assessment or PISA,
00:08 the problem in the education system in the country.
00:11 The PISA results lay bare uncomfortable truth.
00:16 It has shown that a significant majority of our boys and girls
00:20 fall below the proficiency level required for full participation in society
00:24 and contributing to nation building.
00:27 In the 2022 PISA, which was conducted by the Intergovernment Group
00:31 of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development or OECD,
00:35 the Philippines ranked sixth in the last 81 countries when it comes to math and reading.
00:40 That is a significant increase in the math and reading scores in the Philippines compared to 2018.
00:45 The score in science, where the Philippines ranks third,
00:48 is one point lower.
00:51 All scores in the Philippines in three aspects are lower than the OECD averages.
00:56 Along with the solutions of the DepEd,
00:58 the lowest PISA results are the Catch-Up Fridays

01:06 The teachers are also being forced to train
