PNP Regional Peace and Order Council meeting held
Transcript
00:00 There are at least six bomb threats received by government offices since after the bombing in Marawi City, the NCRPO command confirmed.
00:08 The bomb threats were written and sent to email accounts or addresses, all coming from one Japanese lawyer, Takahira Karasawa.
00:16 And he claims he has a number of high-performance bombs planted in select high-rises in the megacity.
00:22 A police probe on the emails he sent revealed IP addresses from international locations and that all the bomb threats turned out negative or have been false alarms.
00:32 As a result, in the latest regional peace and order council meeting, a resolution was drafted and signed condemning the heinous attack and bombing of the Mindanao State University in Marawi City.
00:43 And a vow to keeping the places of mass convergence and public transport hubs, stations, terminals, airports and seaports more secure and safer all throughout the Christmas season.
00:55 We take seriously the threats like this such that our public safety forces respond, not only the police.
01:07 Our ambulances are there, especially coming from the local government units here in Metro Manila.
01:17 If you see suspicious activities, report it because it will be a big help to report to know if they see suspicious activities in their areas.
01:30 So let's help each other.
