00:00 Well, full-time here at Goodson Park and what a stellar showing from Everton.
00:06 Finished Everton 3, Newcastle 0. Massive result for Everton because they are now out of the Premier League relegation zone.
00:13 Of course, after being hit with that 10-point deduction for being found guilty of a breach of profits and sustainability rules,
00:19 I mean, Everton would be 10th in the table if it wasn't for that docking of points, which shows just how far they've come.
00:28 Beating a Newcastle side who've earned rave reviews and are fully expected to be challenging for the top four once again.
00:35 It was only in April where Everton were beaten 4-1 by Newcastle here in what was a really sobering evening for Everton,
00:42 but they were excellent tonight. They left it late to score goals.
00:47 You thought this was going to be another game at Goodson Park where they just can't put the ball away because they had plenty of chances in the first half.
00:53 They started off well. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has one saved by the Newcastle keeper.
00:59 Dwight McNeil put one wide. Calvert-Lewin again inside the box, put an effort over.
01:05 Newcastle threatened on a couple of occasions. Miguel Alvaron burst through on goal, but his effort was tame.
01:10 And then Alexander Isak headed wide from close range.
01:15 Everton were the best team by far. Created a lot more in the first half.
01:20 They just couldn't put the ball away. And as the game wore on, you wonder if this is going to be the same old story that's happened so many times this season.
01:27 Here at Everton, because before tonight they'd only won once at Goodson Park.
01:32 But it wasn't because they found the breakthrough in the 79th minute through to Dwight McNeil.
01:36 He'd won the ball off Peeven Trippier down the left, just drove the Newcastle defence with plenty of power,
01:42 and then picked a spot in the far corner. It took a slight deflection, but it was probably going in anyway.
01:48 Everton watched the game open up, Newcastle looking for a way back into it.
01:52 Everton took full advantage. Again, Keenan Trippier was the man guilty of giving the ball away.
01:57 This time it was Jack Harrison who profited, drove down the left, pulled the ball back into the box,
02:02 and it was Abdoulaye Dekhoore who finished.
02:05 And then Everton wrapped up the win and stopped at sign-through Beto, his first Premier League goal since signing for the club in the summer.
02:13 He just drove down the right, cut inside, and finished past Newcastle keeper De Bravka.
02:19 What made Everton's win more impressive is they had to change the team at lunchtime today, according to Sean's Edge,
02:26 because James Garner had a sickness bug.
02:29 So that meant that James Coleman came back into the team for his first start, his first team appearance, in seven months.
02:38 That was massive. He was superb for 65 minutes. He came off with a minor injury, but those things can happen when you've been out for so long.
02:47 It can happen. So Sean's Edge wasn't too worried about that, so that's good news for Everton.
02:56 But yeah, a huge night. Now Everton will be looking to use this as a real springboard now at home,
03:01 because they've been good performers. They haven't really deserved to get beaten in many of the games that they have,
03:08 but they haven't put the ball away. But Everton need to use the impetus now to make this place a fortress.
03:13 And as it stands, Everton are going to be staying up fairly comfortably, even with a point deduction.
03:18 If they didn't, you're tempted and you're thinking, "Well, how high could Everton finish this season?"
03:23 Unfortunately, that's not the way it is, and that's the way it goes for Everton.
03:28 So yeah, fantastic evening for Everton. Good to some part. I was absolutely rocking.
03:34 It ended Everton 3-0 Newcastle.
