00:00Liverpool have had a brilliant start to the season, winning 9 out of their 10 games in all competitions,
00:04but who has been their standout performer?
00:07There are a few players who could be considered Liverpool's best player,
00:10but we've decided to look at who scores squad and player ratings for the season so far,
00:16which rates every single player's average rating.
00:18Now, it is said that it is more favourable to attackers,
00:22which is why we won't see Ryan Gravenberch in the top three.
00:25He probably has been Liverpool's best player on form,
00:27given how many Man of the Matches we've seen him win,
00:30and just how effective he's been in midfield,
00:32but according to who scored, there are three players who have ranked higher than him.
00:36Coming in at number three is Virgil van Dijk, with a rating of 7.35.
00:41Is he back to his best?
00:42Well, a lot of people think so, and he has been brilliant at the back so far for Liverpool,
00:46and has barely put a foot wrong.
00:49If he continues in this rich vein of form,
00:50then Liverpool will certainly be contesting for major honours come May,
00:54and he looks calm, composed, and barely makes a mistake,
00:57and has been very effective in the opposition box as well.
01:01Coming in at number two is Luis Diaz, with a figure of 7.55.
01:06Now, with talks of a potential move away in the summer,
01:09and the fact that Gakko performed so well for Holland in the Euros,
01:13Diaz has hit back at critics by making a flying start by netting five goals in just seven league games.
01:20His clinical ability has greatly improved at the start of this season,
01:24and he has been key to Liverpool's great start.
01:27Of course, last season, all the talk was about him failing to convert chances in the final third,
01:32and he has certainly started the season in much better form in that regard.
01:36But as always, we'll have to see how this goes across a full season.
01:40But so far, he has been electric, and has been one of Liverpool's best players for sure.
01:46And ranking at number one is Mohamed Salah, with a figure of 7.66.
01:51His goal-scoring ability and ability to create has always been there,
01:56and he has just been the absolute pinnacle of consistent quality in attack for Liverpool across the years.
02:04Currently, he has four goals and four assists in just seven games,
02:07and he looks set for another high-scoring campaign that could lead Liverpool to potentially a couple of major honours.
