00:00 I asked Ryan a version of this question,
00:01 but your guys' offense has been really good after a takeaway,
00:04 and your defense has been very good
00:05 after your offense turns it over.
00:06 I think it's five turnovers and one touchdown and four nothing.
00:11 What do you credit that to in terms of your defense's ability
00:14 to see a turnover and shut that down?
00:15 Right, well, I think it's a mentality piece.
00:17 We've talked a lot in the offseason
00:19 about elite defenses thriving those situations.
00:21 You want that situation.
00:24 I think there's a mentality sometimes
00:25 if there's a turnover and it's a, damn,
00:29 we got to go on the field versus let us on the field.
00:32 We want to be on the field.
00:34 We want to be in that situation.
00:35 Because I think great defenses are judged
00:38 by their response to adversity.
00:41 And so I think our guys take pride in that.
00:43 And through the first part of the season
00:45 here, guys are doing a great job taking the ball away.
00:47 I think we're a very deadly team top to bottom
00:51 when we can have the quick strike capabilities of grabbing
00:55 a takeaway and then putting the offense in great field
00:57 position, and they can score.
00:59 As everybody knows, they can score in a one play,
01:01 two play score.
01:02 I mean, that sets opponents reeling.
01:04 And what we've done several times this season
01:07 is be able to stack up on people really fast
01:10 and let the game get out of hand really fast.
01:11 And so I think our guys understand feeding the offense
01:14 and getting them set up in good field position
01:16 and being hungry and starving to take the ball away.
