00:00 I need to get a bit of fishing practice in before I meet a very special guest who is a keen fisherman
00:04 and who in his time was pretty good on a bike as well.
00:08 He's one of the most popular youngsters in the game.
00:12 Such a phenomenal climber.
00:14 Every time he rides now he just comes of age.
00:16 Suddenly you are up there and you are top 10, top 5 and I was, how far can I go?
00:22 It's come down to the top two riders as Schleck grits his teeth.
00:29 I'm 27 and I have a lot of years in front of me.
00:33 And Andy Schleck has crashed and crashed hard.
00:36 It looks bad for the Luxembourger.
00:38 In the morning I went in the hospital.
00:43 They said you need to have an operation and basically never recovered from it.
00:49 Cycling is the finish for me now.
00:53 I will end my career end of this year.
00:58 My new life started that day.
01:01 In February of 2015 he bought a dilapidated old barn and then renovated it into his bike shop.
01:07 When there's races on people come in, they watch the race, they can live cycling a bit.
01:13 Do you miss racing?
01:15 It's different so we change perspective.
01:17 I miss my teammates. I miss that little bit of the social part of it with the boys.
01:22 If I'm really honest I also miss the fame.
01:25 Suddenly a lot of things were gone in my life which I had before.
01:29 And you realize that actually your whole identity was the guy in the yellow jersey.
01:35 If I would go back I believe I could win a lot more races.
01:40 But you can always talk, what if that crash didn't have happened?
01:44 If I would have won five Tour de France I don't believe I would be happier today.
01:49 I don't know.
01:51 I don't know.
