00:00 Welcome to Ms Mojo and today we're counting down our picks for the funniest and most ridiculous
00:08 cases ever to appear on the people's court.
00:19 Number 10 - Taking the Cake
00:21 A mistake with the bakery led to the wrong cake being made for a birthday party.
00:26 Naturally the plaintiff is suing for the whole of her grown daughter's entire party including
00:32 DJ fees and the cost of the venue.
00:49 Well why not ask for the value of the presents too whilst she's at it?
00:53 Even the audience can't keep it together during the summary of the case.
01:07 Is this woman really suing a baker for $1,000 over a $35 cake?
01:15 The daughter had the good sense not to show up but the plaintiff's seriousness is as
01:20 unbelievable as the lawsuit.
01:22 The frivolity really makes this one a must-see, especially with Judge Millian's sarcastic
01:29 tirade and her demands to know what's in red velvet.
01:38 Number 9 - Expert Witness
01:40 Judge Millian had no reason to think anyone in her audience could play the busted accordion
01:46 at the centre of this case.
01:59 Since none of the litigants can demonstrate how to play it, who can say if it actually
02:04 is a defence or not?
02:05 Lo and behold, a wild accordion player enters the chat.
02:15 It's a rare treat to see an audience member say anything, let alone put on a small concert
02:21 for the room.
02:23 We get to hear a little bit of how she learned to play and let's just say the judge's retort
02:29 is best enjoyed by people who know their post-World War II history.
02:44 If you're curious, the plaintiff won the case and got his money back for the broken accordion.
02:50 Number 8 - How Old Are You?
02:52 When they first started seeing each other, the plaintiff spent quite a lot of money on
02:57 the defendant and she would eventually find out that he, at one point, dated her niece.
03:08 Once she reached the $1,000 mark, she warned him that anything more she spent on him would
03:13 be considered a loan.
03:15 In court, she maintained that he was using her the whole time.
03:20 Judge Millian can't quite believe she's got two people with this much life experience
03:26 in court over something like this.
03:33 But that's what makes it so fun.
03:36 It's a high drama playing out right in the courtroom, full of revenge, graphic sexting
03:43 and the most dramatic reactions ever seen on this side of a telenovela.
03:50 Number 7 - Not A Hand Model
03:53 The plaintiff, a model, sustained cuts on her finger during a visit to a nail salon.
04:00 She now wants compensation for missing out on casting calls that she just didn't show
04:05 up for because of these cuts.
04:16 The judge sniffs out exactly what's going on here.
04:20 When the plaintiff's mother keeps trying to coach her, even making her sit down isn't
04:24 enough to keep her from interfering.
04:33 The entitlement on display is truly mind-blowing.
04:38 Even in the aftermath, the mother can't keep herself from speaking for her daughter.
04:43 Beyond that, it doesn't take a law degree to see that their suit is nonsense, and we
04:49 thank them for the entertainment.
05:04 Number 6 - The Asiatic Lily Massacre
05:07 Plaintiff Teresa Harpster clearly has a passion for flowers, and heaven help anyone who gets
05:14 in her way.
05:23 She plays cool and collected as she tells her story of a savage flower massacre by the
05:29 defendant's landscaping company.
05:31 But once the defendant shows the receipts of Harpster's behavior, which includes some
05:37 light assault and a torrent of obscene language, her look of phony shock is almost comical.
05:55 It's also kind of frightening.
05:57 The longer it goes on, the less she can contain her frustration.
06:02 Despite her insistence that everyone is lying about her, her temper only becomes more evident.
06:09 Her last words to the defendant are as unhinged as they are hilarious.
06:16 Number 5 - A Question of Thickness
06:19 He paid for the thick crust.
06:21 He got thin crust.
06:24 This is his brave story.
06:32 The incredibly serious plaintiff would probably be a standout litigant in any case, but the
06:38 fact that he's suing over a $3 slice of pizza makes this the least serious case ever.
06:45 And that just makes it so much better.
06:50 Meanwhile, the restaurant owners seem to have indulged in this for a bit of free promo more
07:03 than anything else.
07:04 Then again, with the way it's described, maybe the pizza really is worth all the trouble.
07:10 Even the plaintiff can't help but give a rave review to the restaurant he just sued.
07:18 Number 4 - The Lovable Litigant
07:20 Even as she admits, with a smile, to driving for decades without a license, Sharon Stevens
07:27 is one of the most charming guests the People's Court has ever seen.
07:39 The show starts as soon as she walks in, when she clearly takes issue with the announcer's
07:44 description of her case.
07:53 Throughout the case, she's honest to a fault.
07:56 She explains, demonstrating with sound effects, how the car she was driving got damaged.
08:04 While she may be a little lost, it's clear her moral compass is strong.
08:10 After some slight confusion as to whether she won or not, Stevens clearly felt bad about
08:15 what had happened.
08:21 It was all worth it to be on the People's Court, though.
08:25 Number 3 - Something for Something
08:27 Who could have predicted this relationship would turn sour?
08:32 Well, probably a lot of people.
08:47 And certainly Judge Millian.
08:49 In fact, she has these two, and their special arrangement, pegged from the start.
08:55 Although it's hard to feel bad for anyone in the case, the judge almost respects the
09:00 defendant's hustle.
09:06 After all, a 59-year-old man should probably know better than to give his 27-year-old girlfriend
09:13 money for a friend who might not even exist.
09:17 And after they've only been dating a few months, the judge had no sympathy for the plaintiff's
09:23 position and had some pretty damning advice for him.
09:37 Number 2 - Now I Remember You
09:40 This one is so crazy.
09:42 Even the bailiff can't keep a straight face as he hands the judge the case paperwork.
09:52 Yeah, the case is about a vicious dog bite, but a particularly goofy defendant makes it
10:05 one for the books.
10:07 Pitbull owner Dorothy Henze is clearly confused by the plaintiff's identity, as she thought
10:13 this was about another case where her dog bit another jogger.
10:33 So her interesting defense doesn't hold much water.
10:37 Henze's air-headed answers are funny, as long as you don't remember that this woman is responsible.

11:03 Number 1 - You Might Go Blind
11:06 The litigants in this all-time classic case entered into a loose contract with expectations
11:13 that just weren't physiologically possible.
11:30 Plaintiffs Candy Moore and Shah wanted to become pregnant at the same time, so they
11:35 signed a contract with defendant Oakden Dracht to provide daily donations to that end.
11:42 Well, for various reasons, this did not go well.
11:47 Judge Millian, the renowned champion of ocular health, had to ask the tough questions.
11:55 She even has to educate the plaintiffs on the rigorous process of trying to get pregnant
12:02 and so graciously shares some of her own experiences.
12:17 The most hilarious thing is how, due to this being aired on daytime television, they are
12:23 all forced to dance around the more explicit terminology.
12:33 Which of these people's court cases had you gasping for breath?
