00:00 And we're number nine! Another number one!
00:03 Do you still wake up and go, "People still love us"?
00:06 It's amazing.
00:08 We feel very loved, we really do.
00:10 We can't thank our beautiful audience enough.
00:13 It's been amazing.
00:14 Every time we release one of these records, there's always the thought,
00:18 and we talk about it, "Is this the one where it starts to go downhill?"
00:22 But honestly, we've been absolutely blown away with the support
00:26 that everyone's shown.
00:27 We can't wait to get on tour next year.
00:29 Do you like the stuff that you're writing?
00:31 It's changed a little bit, hasn't it?
00:33 It's become a bit more grown-up, maybe?
00:35 It's all right.
00:36 LAUGHTER
00:37 No, of course.
00:38 You know, you have to...
00:40 I think any artist that write music and are about to release an album,
00:44 you could never release an album if you didn't like the music you were making.
00:48 So, of course we love it.
00:49 And like Gary said, you always have that wonder
00:52 whether people will like the music,
00:55 and it's always great to get that response back
00:57 and send it to number one, which is amazing.
00:59 Do you get nervous?
01:00 Yes.
01:01 Well, I don't know if nerves are the right way,
01:03 but I remember the days of release where we were like, "This is it.
01:07 "This is when it happens."
01:09 So it's like an excitement-nervous thing.
01:12 And you really...
01:13 Because you put so much time in,
01:15 18, two years into putting this together,
01:18 and then it comes out.
01:19 And you've been sat with it, but when people hear it,
01:23 you want them to respond to it
01:25 and to enjoy what you've been doing.
01:27 So there's that moment.
01:29 It's like waiting for your exam results, you know?
01:32 What do the kids think about your music now?
01:34 Our kids?
01:35 Yeah.
01:36 Actually, do you know what my kids always say?
01:38 "Is that only just coming out?"
01:39 Because they obviously heard a lot of the album last year
01:43 when it was being written.
01:45 These kids can read leaks and stuff.
01:47 Oh, they could.
01:48 Yeah.
01:49 And don't put ideas in their heads.
01:51 Yeah.
01:52 You know, my kid, Bowie especially, he says,
01:55 "Can you play that one by Mark?"
01:58 I say, "What about the one by me?"
02:00 "Oh, no, can you hear that one by Mark?"
02:02 [LAUGHTER]
02:03 So to say, you're pretty cool dads, though.
02:05 Do you think there's moments where they see you in outfits
02:07 maybe like this, they might go, "Dad, the fucking trousers!"
02:10 I haven't told them yet.
02:12 Do you know what?
02:13 When we tour, it's actually gorgeous.
02:15 We call them all the Take That Kids.
02:17 And we usually do a picture where they're in a line.
02:20 Remember that picture we did? Grace is the oldest.
02:23 And who's the youngest? Dougie, right?
02:25 He's the youngest, yeah.
02:26 If it's a line, you'll stand at the other end
02:28 because he's about eight foot.
02:29 I know, I know.
02:30 But it is, it's lovely.
02:31 And when we go on tour, they often come,
02:34 and they do enjoy it.
02:35 They love the craziness, you know,
02:38 their arms in the air and all.
02:40 It's brilliant.
02:41 Let's just go back quickly to when you first started,
02:43 when you were little lads.
02:44 Did you dream of having nine albums?
02:46 Did you dream of all the success?
02:47 No, I mean, we've probably got individual answers,
02:49 but no, I never dreamt of being a pop star or even a singer.
02:53 I've always been a dancer, so I've always performed dancing.
02:57 What about you guys?
02:58 I hope this was my dream from day one.
03:01 It really was, but I never, I mean,
03:03 I don't think any of us could have imagined this
03:06 that's happened, and just how much fun it's been,
03:09 especially the second time round.
03:11 I felt like the first time was a bit of a whirlwind in the '90s,
03:14 but this time round, it's just been, like,
03:17 nights like this, tonight, it's just like a big celebration,
03:21 and we're meeting lots of artists backstage,
03:24 and they're all saying, "Oh, we grew up with your music,"
03:27 and it's just brilliant.
03:28 Does it make you feel a bit awkward?
03:30 [laughter]
03:31 I'm saying, "I loved it, and I was at school."
03:33 No, no, they're bringing their mums in.
03:36 We just met Joel Corey's mum.
03:38 Yeah, his mum came in.
03:40 She said, "I've been to all your shows."
03:43 Of course it's cool.
03:44 Take that 10th album, what are we thinking?
03:47 10th album?
03:48 Oh, God, imagine if we released the 10th album,
03:51 and it went to number one.
03:53 That's a celebration there, right there.
03:55 What are you going to do? What's the celebration?
03:57 Everyone on holiday together?
03:58 No, it's a bit too much, hasn't it?
04:00 [laughter]
04:02 You've got to think, we've spent so much time making the album,
04:04 we don't want to be with each other.
04:06 We have holidayed before, together a few times.
04:08 We have, we have.
04:09 This is one big holiday.
04:12 You guys are the best, we love you so much.
04:14 Our best ever export, I think.
04:16 Aw, thank you.
04:17 Thank you.
