00:00 The Niners have signed Jason Verrett to the practice squad.
00:04 They talked about this a few weeks ago, it didn't get done.
00:08 My interpretation is this is a negotiation.
00:13 It's a negotiation.
00:17 The Niners probably offered him next to nothing.
00:20 They're like, "Oh, we really want you back, Jason.
00:24 "You would be a great piece for us down the stretch.
00:27 "Now, we're not gonna sign you to our active roster,
00:31 "but there's a spot on our practice squad
00:33 "waiting for you if you wanna play for 9.95 an hour,
00:37 "or whatever."
00:38 And he was like, "That's embarrassing, I'd rather not."
00:41 And then I was like, "Okay, suit yourself, go retire.
00:44 "We could get you a Super Bowl ring, but go retire."
00:47 I'm just guessing how this might've went.
00:48 And he was like, "I'll wait three weeks
00:50 "to see if something better happens,
00:51 "and no better offer materializes."
00:54 He's like, "Okay, I'll take the minimum."
00:57 He's from Fairfield.
00:58 He could live with his parents, pay no rent.
01:02 You know what I mean?
01:04 Like, I'm just saying, it'd be a long commute.
01:07 I commute from Oakland, though.
01:10 What he could do is he could drive down to Oakland.
01:13 I could pick, he could pick me up,
01:16 and then we could take the carpool lane down together,
01:19 save money.
01:20 Anyway, clearly, it's pretty clear the Niners low-balled him.
01:26 He thought about it.
01:28 He realized it's not about the money.
01:30 This is his last opportunity to get a ring.
01:34 He's probably gonna get that ring, doing nothing.
01:37 Same with Logan Ryan.
01:38 And now Zach Ertz has to decide if he wants to do that too.
01:41 Dude, you're from Danville.
01:44 You're washed.
01:44 You could wait for a better offer
01:47 from some other team that stinks,
01:50 and go play with them, catch seven passes,
01:52 and say, you know, make some money.
01:54 But you have money.
01:55 And your parents live in Danville still.
01:58 Just accept a spot in the Niners practice squad.
02:01 Play for free, live with your parents.
02:04 I'm sure they would love to have you.
02:08 I'm sure they have your childhood room
02:11 ready for you, bed made, posters up.
02:14 That it would be a wonderful experience.
02:17 Move back in with your parents,
02:19 play for the practice squad.
02:20 Why not?
02:21 (silence)
02:24 I think the Niners should fill their practice squad
02:28 with players in their mid-30s,
02:30 who are from the Bay Area.
02:32 Marshawn Lynch, you're not that old.
02:34 Let's get Marshawn Lynch on the practice squad.
02:37 He's from Oakland.
02:38 We could go down, I could pick up Marshawn.
02:40 Does he still live in Oakland?
02:43 Probably not.
02:44 Still.
02:45 His parents probably do.
02:48 I think we should get more Bay Area athletes
02:50 on the Niners practice squad.
02:51 What are we waiting for?
02:53 Devontae Adams, you're from Palo Alto.
02:56 How about you?
02:57 Practice squad.
02:58 Purdy will let Verrett crash on the couch.
02:59 Yeah!
03:00 They could work this out.
03:04 Who makes more money,
03:07 Jason Verrett and the practice squad or Brock Purdy?
03:09 All right, let's see what happened with Dallas.
03:14 Touchdown!
03:16 (silence)
03:18 So Philly stinks.
03:19 Dallas definitely stinks,
03:23 but not as much as Philly.
03:24 It's 24 to six!
03:26 I gotta say, it's been all bad for Philly
03:32 since Dom DeSandro became a household name.
03:34 Ever since people learned who Dom DeSandro is,
03:37 they're in shambles!
03:38 Shambles!
03:40 Dom DeSandro ruined their whole season.
03:45 Although, he's not on the sideline tonight.
03:48 Maybe you can't blame him.
03:49 Someone says, "Turns out the Eagles are frauds."
03:54 What team is not a fraud this year
03:55 except other than the Niners?
03:57 The only non-fraudulent team in the entire league.
04:00 Crazy.
04:02 Matthew Sanders says, "Dallas is painting
04:05 "Philly right now.
04:05 "The book is out."
04:06 Nick Bosa called it.
04:08 I'm gonna go, but I just wanna say,
04:14 I really appreciate Nick Bosa.
04:18 Not as a player, he's great.
04:20 As a speaker, he just lays it out.
04:24 Hey, how do you stop this quarterback?
04:29 Oh, here's our game plan.
04:31 And I hope the rest of the league is listening,
04:33 because this is how it's done.
04:34 Thank you, Nick.
04:35 Thank you.
04:36 He's great.
04:38 And what's cool about him,
04:41 he blocked me on Twitter before he even got drafted,
04:43 'cause I made a little video series
04:45 saying essentially that he was overrated.
04:47 I said there was clips of Bosa's strengths,
04:51 and then I made a whole highlight reel of Bosa's weaknesses,
04:54 which was him going against Orlando Brown in college,
04:56 and he didn't like it.
04:57 He blocked me for years, years.
04:59 Something happened, and he took it upon himself
05:03 to take the time out of his day to unblock me.
05:05 How many times have you unblocked someone on Twitter?
05:08 Once you block someone, it's over.
05:13 He took the time to unblock me, that's love.
05:16 I will always have a place in my heart,
05:18 a dear place in my heart for Nick Bosa,
05:20 'cause he unblocked me.
05:21 I don't know why.
05:23 He must really have good taste in YouTube videos or writing.
05:27 He must understand that Grant Cone is astute on the ball.
05:32 Gotta read what he's saying.
05:34 Gotta be in the know.
05:36 And ever since he did, defensive player of the year,
05:41 highest paid non-quarterback,
05:42 how do you think he got that?
05:43 Quality control.
05:44 He'll tell you.
05:45 He'll tell you.
05:48 Very bright guy, very good taste.
05:52 All right, guys.
05:53 All right, guys.
05:55 I'm gonna go home and watch the rest of this Eagles massacre.
05:58 Who's beating the Niners in a playoff game?
06:03 The Saints.
06:04 Derek Carr.
06:05 Yeah.
06:09 Anyway, see you guys.
