00:00 So first of all, EEO23 and Vodafone customers
00:04 may, in the future, get a £1,000 payout.
00:08 This is a new group legal case for those who were overcharged on their contract.
00:12 So what am I talking about? And it's 2007 to 2023.
00:15 So look, I mean, I've talked about this for years.
00:18 Many people signed up to a mobile, got a handset,
00:21 paid off the handset over a couple of years,
00:23 and then once the handset was paid off, the price stayed the same,
00:27 even though you were paying off the handset
00:29 when it should have dropped to the same price as a cheap SIM.
00:32 Now, what I've been saying for years is, as soon as that happens,
00:35 move on to a different contract to get a cheaper SIM.
00:37 Many people didn't. This lawsuit, collective action,
00:40 is saying the firm should have done that automatically.
00:43 This was a loyalty penalty, they should have done it, and they're suing.
00:47 Now, it is very early days.
00:49 There is no need for anybody to do anything about this at the moment.
00:53 There's nothing you can do. If the case wins, you may need to claim.
00:57 But actually, it's just... I wanted to tell you,
00:59 because lots of people, like the question before,
01:01 have been asking me about it. It looks like it's a good thing.
01:04 I don't see this materialising until 2026, at the earliest.
01:08 It's a long time away, but keep your eye on it.
01:10 But please, don't start spending the money now.
