00:18 The construction of the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge will continue to occur in the provinces of Bataan and Cavite.
00:28 This is after the Philippine government and the Asian Development Bank
00:33 signed a loan agreement for the first tranche, which is worth US$650 million.
00:39 According to the Department of Finance Undersecretary Editha Tan,
00:42 the project will have a great impact on the country's economic growth.
00:46 I could just imagine the economic growth because it could have a big impact on so many sectors.
00:56 Tan also added that it is expected to promote tourism industry in the country.
01:00 So, from Cavite to Bataan, there are a lot of tourist spots.
01:07 You don't have to pass through Manila anymore.
01:10 So, you will have a lot of very integrated areas.
01:16 One of the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge is in the flagship infrastructure projects of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
01:24 The project is worth US$3.91 billion.
01:27 After the construction, the travel time from Bataan to Cavite will be shortened to 45 minutes from the previous 5 hours.
01:36 It is expected to reduce the heavy traffic in Metro Manila.
01:40 In 32 kilometers, the bridge will be considered one of the longest marine bridges in the world.
01:47 In 2026, the first branch is expected to be completed while the target is to complete the entire project by the end of 2029 or the first half of 2030.
01:56 Meanwhile, the government is also in talks with several European countries,
02:01 such as Hungary and France, to stop the financing cooperation for various projects.
02:06 This is planned under the Government to Government Agreement.
02:09 At the moment, this will be the first G2G financing cooperation under the administration of Marcos Jr.
02:16 We are actually expanding our sources of financing.
02:23 We are actually promoting that better relationship and cooperation with the bilaterals.
02:30 When I say bilaterals, we talk about the European countries.
