Buffalo Bills March Back into Favoritism vs. Chargers

00:03 I think most of us looked at the AFC and said the Buffalo Bills will be there at
00:07 the end either the one seed or the two or the three couple weeks ago.
00:11 They were on the outside looking in but
00:13 they have stormed back into the conversation again.
00:16 And certainly can win one of the next two it looks like maybe or
00:20 two of the next three and get in they play the Chargers this week and
00:23 all of a sudden now they're back to being the huge favorites that we anticipated.
00:28 Look, the Chargers looked so bad and the Bills looked so good and
00:31 that's why this game is dangerous to me.
00:32 Ten and a half point favorites with a total of 42 and a half.
00:38 It's just very hard to look at the Chargers and
00:40 think about anything except for what happened last week.
00:42 But that is not the smart way to bet on sports.
00:45 So week to week league.
00:47 Buffalo feels like they're back in it.
00:48 No question. They're more talented than the Chargers.
00:50 But are they two touchdowns better than the Chargers going into the week?
00:55 I think under ordinary circumstances, they probably are.
00:58 I think the Bills are a team that could threaten in the AFC if they get into win
01:02 the Super Bowl.
01:03 However, in this spot as ten and a half point road favorites coming off such
01:08 a big win over the Cowboys, I could imagine them maybe overlooking the Chargers
01:12 a little bit.
01:12 And that's not to say that I think the Chargers will beat them by any stretch of
01:15 the imagination.
01:17 But the Chargers just fired their head coach Brandon Staley,
01:20 who had been ineffective in his role this season to say the least.
01:24 And has had numerous instances over the years of what people love to call
01:28 Chargering, where the Chargers either have a big lead late and blow it, or
01:32 they have some sort of massive insurmountable lead that feels like they
01:36 can't blow it, they do it.
01:37 So I think that having that coaching change,
01:40 even going to Giff Smith, who I don't know much about, honestly.
01:43 I think that might re-energize this team a little bit.
01:45 They might be in more position to potentially keep it closer against
01:49 the Bills.
01:50 At the end of the day, though, the Bills still have more talent.
01:53 So I'm not looking to heavily back the Chargers in this one by any means.
01:57 But I think this could be a weird spot where the Chargers will be a little more
02:00 amped up than the Bills,
02:01 who might be puffing their chest out coming off of a big win against Dallas.
02:04 So I think the Bills win this, but ten and a half is a lot to ask in this kind of
02:09 a spot, in my opinion.
