00:00 What are you looking for in a partner?
00:02 Are you ready to walk down the aisle again, Shannon?
00:04 I have to get my divorce finalized first.
00:06 Otherwise, there might be some legal issues.
00:09 Yeah, I would think so.
00:10 Which I got to say was shocking to me.
00:13 Because it was like a one-two punch.
00:14 The news about your brain cancer and the divorce
00:17 came at the same time to fans.
00:19 Yes.
00:20 It was like maybe, you know, two or three days apart.
00:23 So yeah, it was pretty brutal.
00:25 My husband had been carrying on an affair for two years.
00:29 Shannon says she learned about her husband's affair
00:32 at the worst possible time,
00:34 just before undergoing brain surgery.
00:37 The former 90210 star was brutally candid
00:39 about the end of her 11-year marriage
00:41 on the launch episode of her new podcast
00:44 Let's Be Clear with Shannon Doherty.
00:46 I didn't walk away right away.
00:48 I couldn't.
00:49 I was so confused and I was also on steroids
00:52 and a lot of stuff from brain surgery
00:55 because they didn't want my brains as well.
00:57 How do you even want to love again
00:59 after experiencing such betrayal?
01:02 Well, you know, even though it didn't work out,
01:04 it was still really beautiful.
01:06 Just because he made poor choices that, you know, hurt me greatly
01:10 does not mean that every man is like that.
01:15 What about children?
01:16 Because I recently read that you would be open
01:19 to having your own children.
01:21 Is having a family still something that you want to do?
01:23 I would.
01:24 I, you know, have looked at adopting
01:26 and all sorts of different options.
01:30 I think I struggle a lot with my cancer diagnosis
01:34 and how fair it is.
01:36 We'll see.
01:37 Right now I'm in treatment.
01:38 I'm going to just see how that treatment works.
01:40 And if I feel like I can give a long enough time to a child,
01:44 then I'll definitely do it.
01:46 Shannon, who recently revealed her stage 4 breast cancer
01:49 had spread to her bones,
01:51 says she is still ready to work
01:53 and looking for more roles.
01:54 Recording her new podcast has been cathartic.
01:57 It's like the best form of therapy you can have.
02:02 Have there been times in your career
02:04 that you felt like you have been counted out
02:05 because of your diagnosis with breast cancer?
02:08 I think I've been counted out so many times.
02:12 But, you know, the only thing that matters
02:14 is I don't count myself out.
02:16 Yeah.
02:17 And that's all that really matters,
02:19 as long as I never give up on myself.
02:21 [music ends]
02:23 [BELL RINGING]
