Edinburgh residents share their highlight of 2023

We asked Edinburgh residents what has been their highlight of 2023.

00:09 So in 2023, I would say my highlight

00:11 would be out in Vietnam, the north of Vietnam.

00:13 And it was the Ha Giang loop on the back of a motorcycle

00:16 and just taking in the views and everything like that.

00:19 So I was traveling for the first six and a half months

00:21 of the year.

00:22 But that was definitely the highlight.

00:24 It's an experience I'll never forget.

00:26 The highlight of my 2023 was probably

00:30 having my sister come to stay with me a couple of weeks ago.

00:34 She's recently moved up much closer to me

00:36 than she had from back home.

00:38 So instead of a 12-hour flight, she's only a two-hour flight

00:41 away.

00:41 So that's probably been my highlight, to be able to see

00:44 her and for her to visit me.

00:45 A highlight of this year has been

00:48 that the Ukrainian girl and her baby, whom

00:52 I had staying with me this time last year,

00:55 came back to visit me in November.

00:58 And the baby, now 19 months, is speaking Ukrainian and English.
