00:00 I think we need to at least take today
00:03 to give the high school players their due.
00:04 Today is their day.
00:06 And, you know, you look at what's going on,
00:10 and everybody's been talking about Princely, Iman Mielen,
00:14 and we have potentially, you know, Tyler Barron,
00:18 that defensive line group,
00:19 and the work that Ole Miss has done on that side of the ball
00:22 in the transfer portal,
00:24 I think it's also important to think about the fact
00:26 that Ole Miss has a top-five defensive line class
00:29 at the high school level.
00:31 If we look at rankings right now,
00:34 Ole Miss' high school class,
00:35 even though they only have 21 commits,
00:38 they're sitting firmly in the top 20.
00:40 They have 11 four-star athletes and nine three-star athletes.
00:44 For those that believe in the blue-chip ratio,
00:48 that tells you right there
00:49 that they're well over 50% blue-chips
00:52 in this high school class.
00:53 That's not including transfer portal,
00:55 where Ole Miss is loading up on four- and five-star players.
00:59 This is called a talent infusion.
01:03 Big-time players, and it's led by that defensive line class,
01:07 and this is from 24/7 Sports.
01:10 It has William Echols as the number-one player in the class
01:12 and lists him as an interior offensive lineman.
01:15 He is not being recruited to Ole Miss
01:17 as an interior offensive lineman.
01:18 He's being recruited as an interior defensive lineman.
01:22 And Art Kehoe, whenever he was at Ole Miss
01:25 back in the mid-2000s, talked about the best player
01:30 to come over and play like guard
01:31 and in the interior offensive line
01:34 are people that are really good defensively
01:36 because they have the feet to do it,
01:38 their mobility and their athleticism
01:40 allows it to happen.
01:41 So that's why William Echols, whenever he's being ranked,
01:44 it's interchangeable.
01:45 But I've been told and everybody's been told
01:47 that he's being recruited as a defensive player.
01:50 Good player. He just got a bump on 24/7.
01:52 He is now the number-one player on Ole Miss's list.
01:55 Kamarion Franklin, number two,
01:57 everybody that saw him in the Miss Al All-Star Game
01:59 knows that he was absolutely a monster.
02:03 Jeffrey Rush, who's quietly been a ringleader in this class,
02:07 I don't want to compare him to Dante Moncrief,
02:10 but he was in Oxford a whole bunch of times.
02:13 And then you have Cameron Beavers from Bay Springs.
