00:00 Hello, I'm Michael Crosland, business reporter with the Yorkshire Post and we have a few
00:04 interesting business stories from across the region this morning. So first up, Nike has
00:10 announced that it will open a new concept store in Leeds Trinity Shopping Centre in
00:15 the spot formerly occupied by Victoria's Secret. No confirmed date yet given by the company
00:21 but what it has confirmed is that the shop will be one of its new Nike Rise stores which
00:26 are designed to be unique to each city location. Some other news as well, the Sheffield and
00:33 Leeds based data science firm, J Wing has announced that it has cut around 14% of its
00:38 staff as the company looks to try and swing back into profit. The company has announced
00:43 its six month results today where it has posted pre-tax losses of £1.4 million up from £208,000
00:51 for the same period last year. J Wing's CEO Andrew Friart said the company could see in
00:58 the first quarter of this financial year that it was at risk of a slowdown in UK revenues
01:04 and took early action to reduce its cost base. It's also been hit by a weak UK market and
01:10 a delay in client commitments. Some other news from Harrogate and the Grade 2 listed
01:16 Grove House is set to be transformed in a £15 million refurb by the care home company
01:22 Springfield Healthcare. The site was purchased by Springfield in 2017 and has been subject
01:28 to what Springfield described as a lengthy planning process. North Yorkshire Council
01:33 have now approved the application subject to conditions and the building will be transformed
01:38 into a care home featuring 24 individual flats. All these stories available to read on our
01:45 website with more coming throughout the day. That's all for the time being, I'm Michael
01:49 Crossland reporting for the Yorkshire Post.
