Régimen cubano amenaza con extraditar a activistas cubanos del exilio. Reacciones

  • last year

00:00 We will not let ourselves be intimidated.
00:01 No, you let yourself be intimidated.
00:02 It's false.
00:03 They can't extradite us without having committed a crime,
00:06 and less in a democracy like the United States,
00:09 which doesn't even want to.
00:10 A Biden government could let them take us to Cuba
00:13 without committing a crime,
00:14 because obviously we are communicators,
00:16 not something else.
00:18 The Cuban regime threatened to extradite
00:21 the opposition activists of exile
00:24 who are included in the so-called
00:26 National List of Terrorists
00:28 published at the beginning of December.
00:30 The official program "Hacemos Cuba"
00:32 broadcast on Tuesday, December 19,
00:35 dedicated a space to talk again about the list.
00:39 I would like to return to the list
00:40 and focus specifically on this fragment
00:44 and on these names that appear here.
00:46 My question is,
00:46 can Cuba request extradition
00:48 from the country where some of these people are
00:51 to national territory?
00:52 Yes or no?
00:52 It is perfectly possible
00:54 that Cuban criminal authorities
00:57 can, in the matter of international criminal cooperation,
01:00 request criminal authorities from other countries
01:03 the extradition of some of the people
01:05 who have committed criminal acts
01:06 and are not in Cuba.
01:07 Activists and influencers,
01:16 who are mostly accused of financing and executing
01:20 activities aimed at destabilizing the social order in Cuba,
01:24 have responded to these threats,
01:26 considering them as an effort to export repression
01:30 to the United States.
