CB Amik Robertson spoke from the Locker Room Ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
Transcript
00:00 >> First with the guys in this locker room, sounds like you got one scoped out.
00:02 >> Not really.
00:05 >> [LAUGH] >> Not really.
00:07 >> [INAUDIBLE] >> Nah.
00:08 >> Is Patrick Graham doing anything different this season?
00:12 >> Letting us play, man.
00:14 Letting us rock.
00:15 He's not.
00:17 He's confident in the players that he's calling,
00:19 because he's confident in the players.
00:21 He let us be us.
00:23 He's letting us loose.
00:24 >> Was he a little more hands on last season then?
00:28 >> Say it again?
00:28 >> Was he more hands on last season?
00:30 >> I think last season, I can't really say too much, but
00:34 I think last season he was kind of overthinking.
00:37 Still, as you develop, because that was our first year with him.
00:40 So now he's more confident with his guys.
00:43 As you can see, he's got some great players.
00:48 His playmakers are in a position to make plays.
00:50 Of course, we saw Michael Jordan play by Jake Jones.
00:54 >> I know you're a guy that hates losing.
00:56 You take all the losses hard.
00:57 But after the last Chiefs game, you seemed really pissed off.
01:01 Yeah, you really devastated.
01:02 What was it about that game?
01:03 Was it the opponent?
01:04 Was it the way it went?
01:05 >> I mean, you gotta stand up being here four years, man.
01:07 And I taste the win against them going down there.
01:12 And Arrowhead and being able to beat them.
01:16 And it's a team that I'm just tired of losing to.
01:21 I'm so competitive.
01:21 And we got the pieces.
01:24 We got the guys to be able to beat that team.
01:28 Unfortunately, we took a hit.
01:30 That's something that I kind of thought about for a long time.
01:34 I'm happy that it's back.
01:35 We got another opportunity.
01:37 So we just gotta execute, man, trust one another.
01:40 And I know the offense is gonna do their job.
01:43 But as a defense, man, we gotta eliminate those explosive plays, man.
01:45 And most importantly, get after that damn ball.
01:48 >> You said you've been here four years.
01:49 Is that a win you look back on as one of the, your favorite,
01:53 one of the best to be a part of?
01:54 I mean, winning there, it seemed like a big moment.
01:56 >> Yeah, but no, I try to be on my feet at that, man.
01:59 I try to, cuz all the things that happened in the past,
02:03 it kinda, it really don't matter.
02:05 So right now matters.
02:07 And right now we got a very important game Monday night.
02:11 Monday, against a great team.
02:12 And we're foaming for the mouth.
02:15 I mean, foaming for the mouth, man, to get that.
02:17 >> From your position, what makes Patrick Holmes difficult to defend?
02:21 In terms of, is it more just trying to get up on him if he rushes?
02:24 Or because he might throw that ball last second, you gotta be honest back there.
02:28 >> I'm gonna be honest, man.
02:29 I can't say what it takes to stop Holmes.
02:33 Cuz if I could say what stops Holmes,
02:37 I'm pretty sure coaches know what's gonna stop him.
02:40 He hasn't been stopped yet.
02:42 So he's a very great player, smart.
02:45 I think his best athlete, man, is probably, of course,
02:49 you gotta have an incredible arm, great decision making quarterback.
02:53 But his ability to be able to extend plays.
