A comparison that I hate in cricket is, “Who was the better captain?” Steve Waugh or Ricky Ponting? MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli? And this happens in India a lot. One has to understand that they were all good in their own way. Yes, one could compare their stats but stats don’t always tell the truth. Harsha Bhogle put it very nicely, that when MS became India’s captain you needed that kind of leadership when Virat became captain we needed that kind of a captain, both of them in each other’s roles might not have achieved what they otherwise did. So stop hating people for their preferred captains it’s just their choice like their favourite food it’s just your choice.
