00:10 You know, this is what I pictured it would be.
00:14 The baby would come out, you have those loving photos of you and your baby in your arms,
00:19 and you're beautiful and glowing as a new mom.
00:23 That was my expectation.
00:25 Reality was not like that.
00:28 You're so skinny after the baby came out.
00:32 Then I had problems with my milk.
00:35 It came in like the fifth day or something.
00:38 Sorry, but there are these women who think they're encouraging you,
00:42 but actually it sort of pressures you some more because they'll say,
00:46 "No, you just latch on and on. I want to have..."
00:49 "I'm latching on, I'm latching on!"
00:51 You know that?
00:52 But it's hard because not everyone is gifted with an abundant supply of milk.
00:56 But I am very, very blessed because I really fought for it.
00:59 I really fought for it so I was able to breastfeed my two kids a little past over a year.
01:04 But it wasn't an easy journey because yes,
01:06 my postpartum depression and yes, I get fat.
01:09 Why?
01:09 They say, "Oh, breastfeeding will make you lose weight."
01:12 That wasn't true for my kids.
01:14 Because I felt that I needed to eat more so that I'll have more milk.
01:19 Because I did try it, the ones that are calorie-counted,
01:21 the ones that are for breastfeeding, the ones that are just right.
01:24 And every time I did that, I didn't have milk to give.
01:27 But every time, for example, I ate a lot of pancit, a lot of carbs.
01:33 Oh my gosh!
01:34 My baby and I were happy.
01:36 So, you know, I had to sacrifice that type.
01:40 But it was all super worth it because my kids are super healthy.
01:44 You know, so far I think we're doing okay.
01:50 Because their dad is a Muslim, I am Catholic.
01:53 And then, so they know Allah.
01:56 They know that they are Muslims.
01:59 But at the same time, they're wondering, "Why am I not?"
02:03 We celebrate Ramadan.
02:04 We celebrate Eid.
02:06 We also celebrate Christmas.
02:08 So when they grow up, they can choose.
02:10 It's up to them.
02:11 I don't want to force, because you cannot force anyone their belief in.
02:14 But what we can do is we can show them.
02:16 We have a good partnership.
02:21 I take care of the kids and he does what he does.
02:25 Robin is a good provider for the necessities, for the essentials.
02:30 But more than that, he's not for it.
02:34 Yeah, so that's why I still have to work hard.
02:37 Because everything else, like all the fancy clothes that my kids wear and all that,
02:43 Robin doesn't like things like that.
02:45 All the excessive toys, like that.
02:48 Every week, I send him the schedule, our schedule, like that.
02:52 Robin is very protective.
02:54 He's very, he's the healthy one.
02:56 He's the one who sends me, "No, don't feed him.
03:00 Don't do this."
03:02 We went to a party.
03:03 Of course, when there's a party, there's a famous French fries that can't be left out of every party.
03:08 When my kids see it, they're like, "Yes, yes, yes, yes."
03:13 And they're not even cooking that French fries.
03:15 They're not like, "Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna bring it to the table."
03:17 When it's ready, they're cooking it.
03:19 So, like that.
03:20 I'm gonna bring the French fries to the table.
03:24 Then, he said, "I don't want to give it."
03:29 I said, "Oh, they're gonna eat it."
03:32 More than a year now, yes.
03:37 I'm a legit live seller now.
03:40 I'm just trying it out now.
03:42 It's my thing.
03:43 Yes, but now, not so long.
03:46 I realized that it's okay to take a break, then you'll just come back.
03:49 That's what I'm doing now.
03:51 I do it for two hours, take a break, another two hours.
03:54 But before, five hours, six hours, like that.
03:58 Because it's something that I love to talk.
04:00 I can talk.
04:02 I can talk for hours.
04:05 So, I can do it.
04:07 I think that what really prepared me was, you know, I used to do a show in ABS-CBN called
04:12 Pinoy Big Brother Upload.
04:13 I was alone.
04:15 I was alone and I was just talking to myself.
04:18 And like, so, I started with that and then I did another show for Ako Lang Din.
04:24 So, I think it really prepared me for live selling.
04:27 And then, one time, during the pandemic, I was watching these bading on, in Japan, na nagre-live sell.
04:34 So, sobrang nage-enjoy ako.
04:36 Tsaka, grabe akong nabudol talaga, talaga.
04:39 Grabe talaga.
04:39 Syempre, pandemic na talaga ako.
04:41 Tas, agamong kayo.
04:42 Tas, parang may hayong ato.
04:45 Kasi, sobrang mong happy.
04:47 Oo, sobrang mong happy na nakapag-mind ka.
04:49 Iba yan, hi!
04:51 So, sabi ko, oh my gosh, I wanna give people that feeling.
04:54 You know, iba yung feeling na ganun.
04:55 And it was just, it's so much fun and I really, really enjoy doing it.
05:00 And, you know, I said, in one new year, I made a list of the things that I want to happen.
05:06 And I said, one day, I'm going to find my thing.
05:08 I'm going to find my thing.
05:10 It was that year.
05:12 I said, I'm going to, that new year's, I'm going to find my thing and I'm going to be good at it.
05:19 And then I met Lifeselling.
05:20 And now, I'm a Lifeseller.
05:24 I am a big self-care person.
05:31 Don't get me wrong, okay?
05:33 I believe that self-care is not selfish at all.
05:37 Because for us mothers to be able to give love, we have to feel the love.
05:44 And the first person who's going to love us is ourselves, okay?
05:48 So, kailangan happy tayo.
05:50 Yes, I really believe in self-care.
06:07 Three times a week, habang hinihintay ko sila.
06:29 That is what I do.
06:31 I always think that, akala natin pupunta tayo dun sa nakakatipid tayo.
06:35 Pero actually, minsan kailangan mag-splurge ka ng konti para makuha mo yung maganda talaga for your skin.
06:43 Oo, talagang lahat ng ways para mag-self care ginagawa ko.
06:49 And I feel good about it.
06:51 I don't feel na parang sayang siya because I need it.
06:54 I need it for myself.
06:55 Napaka-babaw ng reason ko.
06:57 I wanna have good pictures with my kids.
06:59 Gusto ko, pag nag-play 'to, yung mga pictures of them growing up in their wedding videos,
07:04 maganda yung nanay nila.
07:06 Hmm, sobrang shallow ko na tao.
07:09 Okay, yun ang totoo.
07:10 Gusto ko na may magandang picture.
07:12 Yun, katod yung picture na ginawa natin.
07:14 Lalabas yun, dun sa mga 18th birthday nila.
07:17 Sa mga wedding videos nila, lalabas yan.
07:20 Yan ang mga gusto ko.
07:21 Nung time na, ano, nung may time, I thought this is a real story.
07:26 During the pandemic, nag-compile ako ng book of all my beautiful pictures
07:31 para sabi ko, pag namatay ako, sasabihin ng mga anak ko, maganda yung nanay nila.
07:37 Alam mo yun?
07:38 Para mapakita nila yung tingin ko, "Oh, your mother is so beautiful."
07:41 And, so, gusto ko yun.
07:43 Okay?
07:43 Ganun ako, kashallow na tao.
07:46 So, that's why self-care is very important.
