00:09 Welcome to the very first Rwanda Culture Day panel discussion.
00:13 My name is Kayla Gassabga, co-youth leader for the Rwandan community of Northern California.
00:20 So, I'm very honored to serve as your moderator for this panel this afternoon.
00:27 We will be discussing the role of culture in development and country building.
00:32 Let me begin by introducing my esteemed panelists.
00:36 We'll start with Minister Luis Mushitiwawa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
00:44 We also have Michael Fairbanks in the house. Thank you for joining us.
00:49 There is also Professor Shaka, the CEO of RRGB.
00:54 And we also have Dr. Jesse Gaston, who holds a Bachelor in Psychology from Occidental College in Los Angeles
01:04 and PhD in African History from UCLA.
01:09 We also have Mr. Joseph Masengyesho, a Presidential Scholar, founder and CEO of Inyarwanda.com,
01:18 a software engineer currently living in Chicago.
01:22 We also have Michael Warr, Deputy Director of the Museum of the African Diaspora here in the United States.
01:31 So, I will give each panelist three minutes to share their experience and insight into culture servicing,
01:39 such as integral part of what makes us who we are today.
