00:02 Sherry Silva is a Rwandese dance choreographer that's trying to
00:07 take over the world by teaching people how to dance in different African styles

00:23 I've been in the industry since 2010 acting and
00:26 then after that I started dancing about two years later.
00:30 Now I'm really excited about all the attention that has come from This is
00:33 America, cuz I've been working really, really hard up until this point and
00:37 it feels good to be appreciated.
00:39 But actually the president of Rwanda, His Excellency Kagame,
00:43 recognized me before as well when I performed for him twice.
00:47 So Rwanda has always supported me and that's why I always have to come back here.

01:31 Bad breath, you cannot have bad breath, first of all.
01:35 And if you're stingy, you need to be generous.
01:40 I'm a generous person, so you gotta be generous too, you know what I mean?
01:43 [MUSIC]
01:48 My God, Ubu Gali with beans and
01:50 chicken specifically from Tamil Tamil restaurant in Yami Rambo is the best.
01:57 That's it, and small bananas cuz we don't have them back home.

02:05 It's all about putting Rwanda on the map and
02:08 this is just honestly a beginning, there's so much more.
02:11 I travel to a different country every week teaching our dancing and
02:17 dances from all over Africa because a lot of times when people talk about dancing,
02:21 they talk about Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana.
02:25 But I want them to also talk about Rwanda and
02:27 I want people to come here and to dance and to tour Rwanda.
