00:00 >> What are you excited about getting into college?
00:03 >> I'm really excited about the learning process.
00:07 I'm really not into the play cuz I know that's gonna come and everything.
00:10 But I really wanna learn a lot of things, a lot of things about being a quarterback
00:14 in college and being a student in college.
00:17 So I just wanna learn, learn the process.
00:19 >> Being here, you know, opportunity obviously to play against some of the best
00:22 in the country.
00:23 What are you looking forward to about this opportunity?
00:25 >> This is a great opportunity to play against those great guys and
00:28 have fun with my guys as well.
00:30 And show the world what I can really do.
00:33 Appreciate it.
00:35 >> CJ, how do you fit that Doran Roper system?
00:38 What makes you an ideal fit for them early on and
00:40 obviously sticking with them despite Miami?
00:43 >> For one, what they like, and I like what they do as well.
00:48 So they're an air raid team, air raid offense.
00:51 And that's what I like to do.
00:52 I like to pass the ball, air it out.
00:54 And they like me cuz I have the size, the ability, I can make plays, and
00:59 I can read the field.
01:00 So it's a good thing.
01:02 I see a lot of great things that happen in the offense.
01:06 >> How important was NC State getting on you early in terms of when Miami came in?
01:12 How important was that, the fact that they got in early and
01:14 built all that with you first?
01:16 >> Yeah, that was very important that Coach Roper recruited me early because he
01:20 seen what I could do before, early on.
01:23 Even when I was struggling a little bit, but he see the future.
01:27 No, that's great.
01:28 That's great that Coach Roper got on me cuz now I'm going to NC State, and
01:32 I feel like I have a great opportunity going to the next level.
01:34 >> Favorite part of the recruiting process?
01:38 >> Favorite part?
01:40 There's really no favorite part.
01:44 I'm not gonna lie, it is kind of stressful, but
01:48 at some time it is that the favorite part was committing.
01:51 And then obviously, that's it.
01:54 >> Least favorite part, I think I got the answer.
01:56 >> Yeah, least favorite part was choosing.
01:59 >> Hey, you probably were already asked apologies.
02:02 Were you tempted at all when Miami came in late?
02:03 Or were you already feeling pretty locked in for NC State?
02:06 And what were the biggest reasons why you stayed with the Wolfpack?
02:09 >> The biggest reason was because of the coach, and I seen what I wanted.
02:13 I've been with NC State for the longest, and I committed to them.
02:17 They came in early, like I said before.
02:19 And it was a really good shot with UM, it was 50-50.
02:23 It was a good possibility that I was gonna go to UM.
02:27 But I turned out to go to NC State, and the deal closed open, and I was gone.
02:31 >> So it was close?
02:32 >> Yeah, it was really close.
02:33 >> You feel good afterwards?
02:34 >> Yeah, it's awesome.
02:34 >> Peaceful and all that good stuff?
02:35 >> Yeah, the stress is gone.
02:37 >> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:38 Thank you, man.
02:40 >> Your best attribute would be what?
02:42 >> My pocket awareness.
02:45 >> The area you need to work on the most would be what?
02:49 >> Keeping my feet under me, keeping my feet under me.
02:53 >> Is there anything somebody doesn't know about you,
02:56 not football related, that you'd like to share?
02:59 Cedric Bailey is, go in the blank, anything that you want, non-football related?
03:03 >> Cedric Bailey is a leader on and off the field.
03:09 I hope everybody know that.
03:10 >> Excellent.
