Dan Lanning and Oregon Players Preview Fiesta Bowl

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning, defensive end Brandon Dorlus and linebacker Connor Soelle discuss facing Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl.

00:00 We're thrilled to be here. It was a good trip down and excited to see the sun as we got down here.

00:05 We're certainly excited about being part of the Fiesta Bowl. I know our players are anxious to get to work,

00:10 but I'm also excited for them to reap some of the rewards of what bowl games mean and what the trips mean.

00:15 So we're excited to play a good opponent in Liberty. We know they're really talented and hungry for this game, just like our team.

00:21 Fantastic. We have two talented student-athletes here with us this afternoon.

00:25 On the far right, a defensive end from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You'll see him as number three on the field, Brandon Dorliss.

00:31 Brandon, why don't you give us a quick opening statement?

00:34 I'm pretty excited. This game means a lot. My mom was an alumni at Liberty, so I got a little blood between there.

00:42 Anytime I get to play with my team in another game, I'm excited.

00:47 Just because it's a bowl game, we have a great opportunity to beat undefeated teams, so I can't wait to get out there.

00:53 Fantastic. The young man to my immediate right is a proud Scottsdale native and resident.

01:00 He won three straight high school championships at Saguaro over there in Scottsdale.

01:07 He attended the Fiesta Bowl several times, he told me earlier today, and now is here to play.

01:12 He's been able to spend the holidays here, thanks to Coach allowing the players to go home.

01:16 So he's been here for a few days and met the team here.

01:19 Without further ado, number 22 inside linebacker, Connor Soley.

01:23 I'm super excited to be back in the Valley for the bowl game.

01:31 Just like you said, I grew up going to the Fiesta Bowl. It's been a great experience.

01:36 My whole life, seeing the work that these people do in the community,

01:39 and just super excited to have the opportunity to play with my teammates on such a big stage.
