00:17 starting more than a decade ago in 2011.
00:24 We have come a long way since then, but we still have some distance to travel
00:33 to achieve universal and affordable broadband.
00:37 It is very encouraging to see that our broadband commission community is
00:47 as energetic and focused as ever.
00:53 So I really want to thank you all for your continued commitment to our shared agenda.
01:01 As an example, Rwanda has already benefited from such a partnership efforts
01:07 as a lead country in the Giga Initiative led by the ITU and UNICEF.
01:20 The pilot project in 63 schools has resulted in a quadrupling of capacity
01:30 and a 55% reduction in cost.
01:36 But one thing is sure, all of the challenges we face can be handled faster, better,
01:45 and more equitably by investing in universal affordable broadband.
