00:00 So apparently a DJ is now doing McHappy Meals? What's inside the Kerwin Frost
00:05 McHappy Meal box with a return of the McNugget Buddies?
00:09 And I'm sure like you, you probably have no idea either who Kerwin Frost is.
00:19 Kerwin Frost is a DJ, talk show host, and a comedian and through apparently his
00:23 ventures decide to collaborate with McDonald's to produce not only a line of
00:27 McHappy Meals geared towards adults but also as well the return of the McNugget
00:31 Buddies. Now you may only be seeing one of these garishly high store boxes. I
00:35 mean there's a lot going on in the box. We're gonna look at these in a moment.
00:38 Even though you're only looking at one of these, over the span of a week and a
00:42 half in fact, I've actually picked up three of the adult Happy Meals. They're
00:46 expensive as well. The Big Mac Kerwin Frost box for example here in Canada is
00:50 $17.19. In comparison to a regular medium-sized Big Mac meal which is
00:56 $14.19. It's about a difference obviously of $3. There was also the
01:00 10-piece McNugget was $20.19. The 10-piece non-Kerwin box was $17.19. So again $3
01:07 gives you this box and gives you also as well the McNugget Buddy which honestly
01:11 again I'm more interested in the McNugget Buddies and the fact that
01:14 they're coming back even though really the designs that they chose for this
01:17 collaboration they're not the nicest looking McNuggets. Although either way
01:23 they are blind boxes. So one of the benefits I suppose and one of the
01:26 negative things I know I've yet to really open up the box but one of the
01:28 negatives and the positives negative at least is that you could very well get
01:32 three of the exact same McNugget. On the other end of it the positive is you
01:37 don't have to wait once a week to go to visit your local McDonald's stores and
01:41 hope that that's the week that they have that McNugget Buddy because if not if
01:45 you missed your chance you're obviously gonna have to order this online. Either
01:48 way though I did order I did get three. I ate two of the three meals not that
01:52 anybody really cares. The third one by then I just had somebody else eat it but
01:55 I asked if anything could I at least have the McNugget Buddy. I also by the
01:59 way did order these from three different McDonald's stores. Not that I'm sure that
02:02 has anything to do with the random selection of these because again they're
02:05 all blind boxes. Of course before we open this up getting a closer look at the box
02:09 itself now that featured characters on the front are Uptown Moe, there's Don
02:14 Bernice, I think that's Darla, there's Wafutu, Brick and in the front is Kerwin
02:22 Frost. Now these are a total of six I only have three and I'm hoping at least
02:25 if anything I have one of you know again three different ones not all the exact
02:30 same. On the side you can mix and match these. The benefits of course of having
02:34 McNugget Buddies is the fact that you could always take the parts apart and
02:37 swap them around. Yo buddy check it out we all swapped outfits can you tell
02:42 who's who? I honestly don't really even care. And there's on the back what they
02:46 would have looked like I guess from more of an 80s kind of promotional artwork or
02:49 kind of the old commercials where the McNugget Buddies would be talking.
02:52 We're gonna go ahead and open this up let me know down below if you've had any
02:56 success to grab these. They are as of right now at the time of shooting this
03:00 video still available. The food contents are completely gone but what's still
03:04 left behind is the actual McNugget Buddy blind boxes. Now again the benefit of
03:09 these is the fact that you know you could very well go to McDonald's store
03:12 say order six of these there's a very unlikelihood you're gonna be getting one
03:16 of every single McNugget Buddy but at least then you don't have to wait every
03:20 single week. That was always the hardest part with McNugget Buddies and Happy
03:23 Meal toys was if you missed that one week that they would have the toy. I mean
03:26 good luck even then completing the collection. Either way though the
03:30 boxes themselves are all blind so there's really no way to tell who you've
03:33 actually got. I was though looking on the bottom of these and I'm gonna flip these
03:37 around so you guys can actually see. You'll see underneath it says packing
03:41 from responsible sources and then it's giving you a code. The code ends in 822
03:45 on all the cases. This one also says 822. I don't think that has anything to do
03:50 with the actual product inside so if you're looking to kind of think that
03:53 there's gonna be like a lot number or something that actually tell you who the
03:56 character is it's not gonna happen my friend but what we are gonna do I know
03:59 I've talked long enough let's go at this open up and see exactly which one we've
04:03 got. To join us in this journey I've got myself also my Cutchins the knife. I'm gonna
04:07 cut the seal on the first one. Not that I'm really planning to keep the boxes
04:11 but let's open it up. Inside you get yourself something that almost looks
04:15 like a wrapped McDonald's cheeseburger and then on the side there's also a
04:19 little card. Now I already know that the card tells us exactly who the character
04:22 is. Knowing that I'm gonna pull this out because I don't want to actually look at
04:26 the card and I'm gonna unwrap. Not a cheeseburger because you would not
04:29 that McDonald's cheeseburgers ever spoil. I mean you could have this
04:33 thing sitting in your garage for a year and it would never spoil. Let's go ahead
04:37 and open up the first one. I guess the ones I would be really kind of most
04:40 interested in is maybe brick. Brick looks kind of cool. It looks like just a
04:43 regular McNugget buddy. I know I've talked way too long. Let's open though
04:47 the first one and see exactly who we have. So I mean in the namesake we
04:52 actually have ourselves as the first one. Where is he? Oh yeah right there.
04:56 Kerwin Frost himself. Now pulling the card of course that goes with that.
05:01 There's Kerwin Frost as the collector's card. On the back it says founding father
05:05 of Frostway. I don't know what that is. Purveyor of wonder and cheer.
05:10 I know what wonder and cheer is. And pencil him in for the mayor of the year.
05:14 There's a little McNugget in every one. That's true. Okay it says it says two. I
05:20 don't know it says two. Can you collect them all? So I guess he's number two. I'm
05:24 looking on that. I guess Wafatu probably would be the first one. Kerwin
05:28 Frost would be the second one. All of these by the way can be mixed and matched
05:32 so you can easily just take the bottom half of Kerwin Frost off. He's got a
05:36 apparently a pencil tattooed on the side of his face. I guess if you want to
05:40 pencil him in for the next meeting I'd probably rather not. And again like it
05:43 like you can't just mix and match these. Can't do much mixing and matching just
05:46 yet because obviously we haven't yet to open up the other ones. This one does
05:49 feel heavier though than this one. I'm hoping that's a sign that at least I've
05:53 got myself someone different. And opening up the second box here. If you again have
05:58 been collecting these let me know down below in the comment section what
06:00 character you have. The next bag. Oh I really hope it's not the same one. It
06:05 looks to be the same one. Another Kerwin Frost. Don't let us actually repeat this
06:12 times three. I mean I can mix and match the parts but I'm literally just gonna
06:15 be mixing and matching the exact same hat and the exact same bottoms. And then
06:19 the last one here feels lighter. Let's hope lighter translates to someone
06:25 different. And the last one without checking out the card. Oh please oh
06:30 please. We have... oh okay thank goodness we actually have ourselves Brick. Now
06:38 that's Brick with the with three R's. So that's actually Brick as opposed to just
06:43 Brick. And this one actually I think is the one that looks the most like just a
06:47 regular McNugget body. All the other ones kind of look like neighbors I'm sure you
06:50 would have had. Uptown Moe is actually the one that was kind of one that would
06:53 be really interesting you get because it looks like the bottom half of his body
06:56 is all like McDonald's City. These can again you can just remove this. Brick
07:01 does have more of a translucent blue plastic for kind of a top crown. Kind of
07:05 looks like the sorceress from the Master Universe movie. You know the one with
07:08 Dolph Lundgren. And of course you got the bottom half here he has little teddy
07:11 bear feet. Little slippers. What was interesting though about Kerwin Frost is
07:16 that the actual bottom feet of him. I think these were the fries. Were they
07:19 called the McDonald's fries or frits or whatever they were. They were actually
07:22 little pom-pom characters that were around in the 80s commercials. I'm not
07:26 blank is the name of those characters. But again you can mix and match these so
07:29 if you wanted to. Let's just say you want to take Brick's lower
07:33 half. It kind of looks like he's now got a little smoking jacket. Of course we can
07:36 also take that and we can also put that onto this guy. Doesn't maybe
07:41 sit as well on his head but the idea again you can mix and match these really
07:44 if you wanted to. You know honestly I think the McNugget buddies returning
07:48 them is pretty cool of an idea. My problem with it though is the fact that
07:52 it's affiliated with a character first of all that many people probably don't
07:55 even know. That's not the big thing. It's the fact that they attach these to an
07:58 adult Happy Meal. In other words there's no way you can buy these separately. I
08:02 had heard of people actually going into McDonald's and saying like buying just a
08:06 meal on its own and then asking for one of these McNugget buddies and they've
08:09 just flat-out said no. There's only one way they actually get. Actually two
08:13 ways to get it. Either get the Big Mac Happy Meal or you can get the 10-piece
08:16 McNugget meal and that's the only way to get these McNugget buddies. Because if
08:20 again if you wanted to be a kid or I mean we all act as kids sometimes. But
08:23 say you're taking your kid to McDonald's for a meal. Say they wanted to get a
08:27 McNugget buddy. Well you probably would have to then get them a regular
08:30 McNugget meal and then maybe just give them your toy after you're
08:33 finished doing. Or unless maybe again they just happen to have a big appetite
08:37 and they could really polish off. Now that's a medium fries. That's also a
08:40 medium drink. So I don't think there's a way to really upsize the meal either. So
08:44 again it's either a medium fries or a medium drink. But either way that seems
08:47 to be the only way that you can get these McNugget buddies. I don't know how
08:49 interested I really am to go back and get any more of these. I mean really some
08:54 of the characters kind of interesting. Uptown Joe would have been one I really
08:56 would have been interested in. But I just again looking at the other characters do
09:00 I really need a Wafutu or a Don Bernice. I mean Don Bernice I suppose is kind of
09:04 interesting. Uptown Moe would have been the only other one I was really the most
09:08 interested in. But have you guys been collecting these? If you have let me know
09:12 down below in the comment section which ones you've been able to pick up. Or if
09:15 you have no interest whatsoever. No interest either in Kerwin White or if
09:20 you guys are also have no interest at all to get these guys. I said called
09:24 called Kerwin White. It's Kerwin Frost. But again let me know down below in the

09:31 And you also think again like paying almost $20 for a meal simply just so you
09:35 can get yourself a McNugget buddy may seem also a little bit steep. Let me know
