A mum says divorcing her husband made her realise how much she loved him - so they got back together and have "never been happier".

Sally Eubanks, 52, and ex-husband Corey, 61, were happily married before insecurities and a communication breakdown made them split in 2013.

After years of fighting through lawyers they divorced - but a custody battle saw them start to communicate directly again.

Stuntwoman Sally realised she still had “a lot of love” for professional stuntman Corey and asked for him back.

Now the pair from Stephenville, Texas, are blissfully loved-up and have overcome the problems which saw them split 10 years ago.

Sally, who was Nicollette Sheridan's stunt double in Desperate Housewives, said: “We were married for eight years - but once the bitterness sent in, we just felt angry and unappreciated.

“We didn’t know how to communicate, and it wasn’t pretty. We would fight. A lot.

“It became very volatile, and we eventually decided to separate.

“I was feeling very insecure and vulnerable. Now we’re back together, we’re happier than ever.

"Everybody’s thriving.”

Transformers stuntman Corey said: "I feel such a sense of healing and happiness after being depressed and anxious for all those years without Sally."

Sally had been married for eight years prior to meeting Corey - with the divorce to her then husband finalised in 2001, after she had two daughters, now 29, and 26.

Corey was also married once before and had two children of his own - now 36, and 33.

Unusually the pair’s exes began dating.

Sally says Corey encouraged her to change career from a B&B-manager to a stuntwoman in the film industry.

In October 2005, they got married and had twins, now 16, two years later.

She said: “Everything was wonderful.

“But our respective careers got very busy - we started going on location a lot.”

The pressure of working while looking after six children strained their marriage.

“I felt like I was raising twins by myself,” Sally added.

“And I had people in my ear telling me the divorce rate for movie industry couples was 95 per cent.

“Even Corey himself warned me a lot of people don’t last - but I was adamant we wouldn’t be like them.

“It did get to me, though. I was vulnerable and I felt very insecure.

“It got to the point where I even thought he was having an affair.

"He was going on location a lot, it was harder than ever for me to travel with him, and I was looking after two babies.”

Neither Corey nor Sally was having an affair, but Sally believes her insecurities led to the breakdown in the relationship.

The pair stopped communicating and began arguing more frequently - so when Corey had to relocate to Boston for a job on ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ - they separated in 2013.

Sally said: “I think neither of us were understanding what the other was putting into the marriage."
