Tony Blackburn has shared how his friend Noel Edmonds helped him through his sepsis battle.

00:08 And when I was in hospital I had to have an injection,

00:12 these antibiotics every four hours.

00:14 And so in New Zealand it's a different time thing,

00:17 so it was during the day for him.

00:19 It's the other end of the day, isn't it?

00:20 Yeah, so during the night we used to text one another,

00:22 talking complete and utter nonsense.

00:24 And he kept me going and it was just great.

00:27 And he's a great guy.

00:29 Yeah.
