00:00 Being January, it's time to stick to our New Year's resolutions we have set for
00:05 the year. And Kid2Kid makes a very popular one easy to do. Angel Jaquez is
00:10 here to tell us more. Welcome Angel. Hi, thanks for having us. Thank you so much
00:17 for having us in your gorgeous space. So this is Kid2Kid. Yes, this is one of our
00:24 valley locations. This is the Kid2Kid at Tatum. Very cool. So we're talking about
00:30 New Year's resolutions and one of the big ones for a lot of us is to declutter
00:35 our space because especially when you're a parent you have so many things laying
00:40 around that maybe your kids don't use anymore, maybe they don't wear anymore.
00:44 And that's where you guys come in because people can bring those old items
00:48 in and either get the cash or get new items that their kids are gonna use,
00:53 right? Right, so they can get cash or they can get more in-store credit, can do a
00:58 same-day trade and save even more at certain locations where you don't have
01:02 to pay tax on those items. So I have three kids, it is a lot to keep up with.
01:07 We've got so many Christmas presents, you want to just, you know, trade them out,
01:10 get rid of stuff, make room for the new stuff. So it's a great way, great time to
01:15 clean. That's such a great point. Yes, Christmas just came and of course
01:20 everyone wants to get the kids cute clothes, new toys, which is so wonderful
01:25 and so appreciated. But if you already have tons of stuff laying around your
01:30 house, you kind of feel overloaded with all this new stuff. So now is the time to
01:34 take that old stuff and bring it into you guys because even if you don't want
01:38 to exchange it, you can get the cash value. Right, yeah, so yeah, you can get
01:45 the cash if you don't want to do a trade. We're always paying cash at any of the
01:48 locations, so if you want to do cash, totally fine. But again, as a mom of
01:52 three, I definitely am always trading, always trading up. I can always use
01:56 something for my baby girl. I know you have a baby, right? So it's, they grow so
02:01 fast, it's just so easy and convenient to just turn around and get that. And as
02:05 they say now, like mom math, you know, if it's not coming out of your bank account,
02:08 it's definitely a plus. I love mom math, that is so true. You bring it there, you
02:14 exchange it, you get some new great stuff that your kids are going to love. And yes,
02:18 as a mom, a new mom, I can tell you that I already have clothes that my baby has
02:24 outgrown and now are just sitting in a drawer and what am I gonna do with it? I
02:27 can bring it there and get what is so great about you guys is you can
02:31 sometimes even get brand new stuff with the tags on it. Yeah, so because they do
02:38 grow so quickly, there's so many times, even if it doesn't have the tag, maybe
02:41 they wore it once. It breaks my heart when I buy something new and they only
02:45 wore it once and then I'm like, no, because I can just save it, sell it, and
02:49 then turn around and get something else. So it's definitely an advantage if you
02:53 have kids. Definitely an advantage and what I love about you guys is that it's
02:58 not just clothes. We are showing a lot of the beautiful items that you can get
03:01 there clothing wise, but you do more than that. You do all kinds of accessories.
03:05 Tell us about all of this stuff that you can find there. Yeah, so we do sell new
03:13 items as well. So you can kind of see in the back whether it's snow stuff, toys,
03:17 things like that. Each store is gonna have their own individual new product
03:20 that they're gonna sell which you can also, you can buy anything in the store
03:23 with your store credits. You can always use that towards anything and
03:26 then we also buy large equipment, buy and sell large equipment, and again, it's just
03:31 really safe to buy them from somebody like us because we know the safety
03:35 standards, we check the recall list, and we're really are looking at each item
03:39 and pricing it accordingly. Anything in the store is gonna be anywhere from a
03:43 third to half of the retail. The bigger items you're gonna save at least half.
03:47 There's a lot of things that you're gonna see that we show you that are
03:50 super popular. I am not. It's crazy to spend $200 on a bouncer that they're
03:56 gonna use for maybe three months depending on how quickly they grow. I
03:59 would much rather do the $79.99 because that's less than half and then again
04:04 you're getting that trade in your store credit so you're probably not even
04:07 paying anything out of pocket or maybe even saving a little bit out of pocket.
04:11 We also always do like loyalty programs. If you're selling to us sometimes we'll
04:16 do different discounts for that so you can get discounts on top of the already
04:19 low prices. And Angel, I love that you brought up that you guys check the
04:23 safety protocols, you check the recalls on every item that comes in so people
04:27 can feel really safe coming in there not only to get wonderful clothing for their
04:31 kids but also they can get the other items like the bouncers, like the
04:35 strollers and they can feel very secure knowing you guys have done all that work.
