00:00 I'm sure that they'll get the call, but I appreciate it.
00:04 >> You like going to those?
00:06 >> Yeah, it's fun.
00:06 Being around the best players, guys that I watch their games, and
00:10 I'm a fan of those guys as well.
00:11 So I like being around those guys, especially now that I'm a little older,
00:14 being around the young guys and seeing how much juice they have.
00:17 >> You guys have some guys that are alternates, including Ed Slonwin,
00:20 Phil Watt, and people were saying that was probably the biggest snub.
00:23 >> I have seen a lot of guys get snubbed, but
00:24 that was probably the biggest one that I've seen in my time in the league.
00:27 >> I know you're not really a guy for the individual accolades,
00:30 you're focused more on the team.
00:30 >> I like individual accolades, though.
00:32 >> You do, yeah?
00:32 >> Yeah, I just don't scream my accomplishments so much.
00:36 >> You let us do that.
00:37 >> I'm happy about them.
00:38 >> You let us do that, right?
00:39 >> Yeah.
00:40 >> You have a chance to tie your personal best with touchdowns this week.
00:44 To be able to do that with the career you've already had, and
00:48 also the fact that you're third in a row, just what has that meant?
00:50 I mean, some of you are even saying this could be one of your best seasons yet.
00:53 >> It's definitely one of my best seasons.
00:55 I always wanna get in the end zone, so hopefully I can get in the end zone once or
00:59 twice this week to help the team win this game.
01:01 Much need again.
01:02 >> Second time around against the Carolina Panthers corners.
01:07 They were healthy last time.
01:08 What do you expect them to try to do to take you out of the game?
01:10 >> They're a scrappy team.
01:13 Last time we played them, I know it was raining, but
01:15 they have some really good corners.
01:17 Like four or five really good corners that can play the nickel spot and outside.
01:22 So we gotta come with it.
01:24 >> There's a lot of eyes on Baker Mayfield, obviously, this week with his rib injury.
01:28 He's out there moving around today.
01:30 How would you characterize his mobility and his practice?
01:32 >> Yeah, I mean, he's normal when he was in there.
01:36 He's throwing the ball great.
01:38 Maybe in stride a couple times today.
01:40 He looked normal.
01:42 >> I learned a lot about him playing from OTAs.
01:45 He's kind of getting a taste of who he was.
01:47 But what did we kind of glean from him playing, going through a whole season with
01:51 him and what he's been able to demonstrate?
01:53 >> He's a much cooler guy than I thought he was.
01:55 That's like the main thing.
01:55 I always knew he was a really talented player.
01:57 Knew he was tough.
01:58 Knew he played with a lot of energy, mobile, all those things.
02:01 But what I've come to find out, he's an unbelievable player.
02:04 >> He throws two touchdown passes this week with no exceptions.
02:06 He's gonna be the first buck in history to have more than 30 touchdowns,
02:10 less than 10 interceptions.
02:11 Pretty good accomplishment.
02:13 >> Absolutely.
02:13 Absolutely, his franchise has been around since-
02:16 >> 47?
02:16 >> 76?
02:17 >> 76.
02:18 >> 76, so I mean, that's a great accomplishment.
02:20 >> What do you mean by he's cooler than you thought?
02:23 >> It's just when you see a guy from afar,
02:25 I've only met him one time prior to being a teammate this year.
02:28 And you just kind of speculate.
02:31 And when you get around somebody that's totally different, and he's a great guy.
02:35 >> As a veteran on the team, what's been the message to some of the younger guys,
02:38 especially some of the young guys in the wide receiver room?
02:40 What this week means and what you guys need to do?
02:42 >> Just keep playing hard and playing smart.
02:45 If we do that, I feel like we have the talent to win this game.
02:47 It's a huge game for us, and just gotta keep doing what we're doing.
02:52 I've been working hard this week, and I'm gonna make big plays come Sunday.
02:56 >> Mike, back in training camp, you had mentioned Dave Canales had you running
03:00 routes that you never landed.
03:02 And obviously you're having a tremendous season.
03:05 How much is that diversity in running routes, how much has that helped you this
03:09 year?
03:10 >> It helped a lot.
03:11 It's hard for teams to devil me and key on me as much.
03:14 I'm all over the field.
03:16 - Oh, really? - Yeah.
