00:00 President Marcos, who is the National Grid Corporation of NGCP,

00:04 has agreed to the broad-scale brownout in Panay Island.

00:08 NGCP has said that there is a chance that the whole electricity grid on the island will collapse if it moves immediately.

00:17 It has also ordered manual load dropping.

00:19 But NGCP did not do it.

00:22 The President also mentioned the NGCP's project to reduce the electricity grids of Cebu, Panay, and Negros that have been delayed for several years.

00:32 He said that this would help to avoid this situation.

00:35 The President ordered the Energy Regulatory Commission to immediately reset the rates of NGCP,

00:42 to ensure that NGCP follows its obligations, and to depend on any measures that are in the way of implementing regulatory measures.

00:51 For now, the supply of electricity in Panay Island is back to normal.

00:54 The DOE is accusing NGCP of a four-day brownout.

01:00 While the Senate and the House of Representatives are in a mutual investigation,
