00:00 >> What made you pick James Madison?
00:02 What'd you see, what'd you like?
00:04 >> I mean, there's a number of things, just comfortability and fit.
00:07 The great coaches over there,
00:08 there's a great winning culture at that school.
00:10 Fan base is incredible, but there's a lot of things I could get into, but
00:14 right now I'm just focused on this week.
00:16 >> Yeah, looks like they have three really young quarterbacks that didn't play much,
00:19 so they need a veteran in the house for sure.
00:23 So did you visit there?
00:24 Did you have a chance to go look?
00:25 >> No, I actually didn't.
00:25 >> You didn't? >> So that's the interesting part about
00:27 my whole experience right now is just how it all played out.
00:30 It's only able to get on campus at one place.
00:32 And then obviously, I could have, say we weren't in the position we are right now,
00:36 I'd be able to visit schools this first week.
00:38 But obviously we're here, so it's a little different for me.
00:42 >> So it must have been intense discussions on the phone.
00:44 >> Exactly, yeah.
00:45 Yeah, a lot of discussions, meeting on Zoom, all these things.
00:50 But like I said, just the comfortability in the field,
00:51 that's what kind of pulled me to that.
00:53 >> How many guys were you talking to probably?
00:54 >> A lot, I don't know, a lot, yeah.
00:57 >> And what did they tell you of their hopes for you?
00:59 >> I mean, like you said, to bring in a veteran guy that's played a bunch of games
01:04 and going to a school that can just help establish myself as a leader on that team
01:07 and they'll win a bunch of games.
01:09 >> Yeah, well, you know who James Madison is, right?
01:12 >> I mean, a little history, long time since I learned about him.
01:15 >> Yeah, and you're only like 120 miles from Washington, DC.
01:18 >> I know, a lot of stuff to go do around there.
