00:00 It's wonderful to show you the two youngest Tasmanian Devils we have in care, Knuckles
00:05 and Blaze.
00:06 Aren't they just adorable?
00:08 The Tasmanian Devil have a big white patch on their rump which is called a blaze and
00:12 Knuckles got his name from Sonic the Hedgehog.
00:15 Knuckles and Blaze.
00:19 These two adorable youngsters are five months old.
00:21 They've been in my care and I've been hand raising them for the last four weeks.
00:27 Now Tasmanian Devils go through three oestrus cycles in a year.
00:30 February, April and June/July.
00:34 These are third oestrus joeys so this is why they're so small this time of year.
00:39 Knuckles and Blaze are in my care because Mum was quite a small devil.
00:42 She had four joeys and they were struggling a little bit so I've hand raised two and left
00:47 two with Mum.
00:49 Mum is now thriving with the two joeys she's got and Knuckles and Blaze are growing bigger
00:53 every day.
00:56 Once Knuckles and Blaze are fully independent they'll go back into our world famous breeding
01:00 program at Aussie Ark to help save their species.
01:05 If you would like to help support Knuckles and Blaze on their journey go to aussieark.org.au
01:09 today and donate.
01:12 Better still, come up to the Barrington Tops this January for our open days and see Knuckles
01:16 and Blaze in person.
01:18 Book your tickets online and we'll see you then.
01:20 I can't wait.
