00:04 prepared, the way you performed. How important do you think this week was for
00:07 this group to finish the way you did? I think it was very important, man. We're
00:10 not no slouches or anything. So most definitely it's a football game that we
00:13 played. I believe we did come into this week, you know, ready to play actual
00:17 football game, not like it's the last game of the season. A lot of guys didn't,
00:20 you know, just tank out and, you know, let everything go. You know, I think
00:23 everybody who went out there gave it full effort and you see we came out with
00:25 the win. There's a winning record that you finished with. Does that matter to
00:29 this group? It does. It does matter. I feel like it matters not just to me, but
00:32 to, you know, all of my teammates and coaches as well. I had to go be over
00:35 500, man. It means a lot, you know, going into next season. Going into next
00:38 season, there's gonna be a lot of talk about the defense and having to be
00:41 better. How much do you take that to heart as one of the leaders in the
00:44 defense that you guys have? I was just talking to the young guys about that.
00:47 Like, we're gonna get started instantly. I know the season over now, but I'm
00:51 gonna give us some time to, you know, rest up a little bit and we're gonna all
00:55 fly somewhere together and we're gonna get started early because there's no
00:58 way, you know, some of the things happened that should have happened this
01:00 year and I believe, you know, we can start on a lot earlier and we'll be on
01:03 the same page. They can't stop us. It's fair to say that you're a leader in
01:07 that room now, even though you're not even in year three yet. Yeah, most
01:10 definitely. I just take that on, you know, I believe me and coach Burks have
01:13 a lot of talks and he just says, don't shy away from it. Step up to the plate.
01:16 You know, I have a God given gift for being a leader and just keep leading.
01:19 This team only won one game in the division this year. How much does that
01:22 have to be an emphasis next year to get to where you want to go? We got to win
01:27 big man, our conference. I think that's a lot that matters, you know, get to
01:30 the playoffs. Uh, not winning in your division is huge. So most definitely
01:33 I come in next year and started off fast and just continue to step on people.
01:36 This division, every team has a winning record and finishes with a winning
01:42 record. You guys at nine and eight are fourth. It's the first division since
01:46 1935 to do that. Did you know that? Yeah, so coach gave us a little run down
01:51 on, uh, believe during the week and I think that was like I said, that was a
01:55 big emphasis, man. We got to get this win. Uh, I don't think like you said,
01:58 has been done in a minute. So we just made some, you know, some magic. That's
02:02 a long minute, a long minute. You mentioned the defensive plays and
02:06 obviously explosive plays were a part of it. Is it? Is it that far away?
02:11 Because I know little mistakes can lead to huge plays. Do you think it's
02:15 fixable in the offset? Like you think it's easy enough to fix? Yeah, man, I
02:19 grow men. You don't have to say a lot of things too many times to these guys.
02:22 Uh, and I believe, you know, once we get on the same page is the biggest
02:25 thing. Uh, you know, I need to see what he sees with Jordan battle sees or
02:29 Dax is in the back end, you know, so we all on the same page. I'm always DJ,
02:32 you know, just young guys bringing us all in together, you know, so we can be
02:36 on one. How much of a fact there's just communication in general. I feel like
02:40 that I'm not speaking for them, but I think they're quiet like they're quiet
02:43 guys. How much is it just communicate? It's the number one thing. I believe
02:47 if you go look in our D. B. Room, that's the number one thing on the board.
02:50 And you gotta have communication on the back end or it's touchdown first down
02:54 or big play, man. Either way it goes, you know, so communication is key for
02:58 us. That's one thing we plan to work on a lot this season. So, like I said, I
03:02 need to be able to see what those guys see. They need to see what I see. We
