"Next Year" is Officially Here For Ole Miss

00:00 The hype train is well underway for Ole Miss football.
00:05 And we are going to see it reach levels that honestly Ole Miss has not seen since
00:09 probably 1970.
00:11 1970 ended up you got Archie who?
00:17 You got Archie Manning in a year three of a Johnny Vault system,
00:20 Ole Miss with a top five ranking and national championship hopes legitimately.
00:26 Now we all know how that season played out with Archie breaking his arm against
00:29 the Houston Cougars.
00:32 Before my time, but we've all heard the stories.
00:34 I mean, my dad constantly talks about that season and what happened.
00:39 But this going in will have a similar level of hype and lead in into the season.
00:47 And Ole Miss has a schedule that is set up to where you don't play Alabama,
00:51 you don't play Auburn, the four non-con games or the start off that you get going.
00:57 And Ole Miss can get a nice going until they have to go to LSU sometime in
01:04 October and before Georgia comes to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
01:09 It's going to be a magical, magical type situation.
01:12 I hope everybody is prepared for exactly how much hype could come.
01:18 So today's show, we are going to look at some of the outside media members and
01:22 their opinions on Ole Miss.
01:24 We'll talk about what Ole Miss has and what it means to them.
01:27 And we're gonna try and meld them all together.
01:30 This show is going to kind of be a celebration of the hype and
01:34 the eight months that Ole Miss is about to go through.
01:37 And what is exactly on the table for the Ole Miss Rebels in 2024.
01:42 Let's start off with the fact that next year is here.
01:46 If you're an Ole Miss fan that is my age or younger, let's just say that.
01:50 I was born in 76.
01:52 If you're my age or younger, you have been in a next year mentality your whole life.
01:58 No matter how good the season has been, there's always a next year and
02:02 everything is looking towards next year and everybody knows how I am as a fan.
