00:00 >> Kayla, you once told us that you only play for championships.
00:06 Now that this run has come to an end, were you amazed at all that you put this together
00:12 so quickly in two years that you got to this point, you know, to challenge for a national
00:16 championship?
00:17 Because I think this is like a story that was, you know, really unusual for college
00:21 football in general, that this happened so quickly for the Huskies.
00:26 >> I think, you know, we have a great quarterback and when you can have an offensive line and,
00:32 you know, our defense came a long ways this year from a year ago.
00:38 And it felt like at the end of last season, the last few games of the year, you could
00:44 really feel like if everyone kept it together and, you know, that this could happen.
00:50 And when you're in the moment and when you're going through it, it's not about, you know,
00:56 all of a sudden going from 4-2, which we were at one point, to saying, "Hey, we're going
01:01 to go win a national championship."
01:04 But I felt like there were some of the basics of being a special football team.
01:09 Credit to the guys, they just hung in there with the process, just focused on improving
01:15 every single day.
01:16 A year ago and this year, it's just built up to this moment.
01:23 It's execution, it's physical toughness, it's all led to a mindset where, you know, anything
01:32 that comes their way, they felt like they could come through and get it done.
01:37 I truly feel like five minutes ago, man, there was nothing but belief, you know, that we
01:44 would find a way to win that football game.
01:45 I really believe that.
