00:03 This is a really important power source for the country because it's stable, it's reliable,
00:07 it'll bring down costs overall and also will make sure that we've got the clean power we need in the future.
00:13 But what has challenged us in the past is a stop-start approach.
00:16 Under the last Labour government not a single investment decision for nuclear was taken
00:20 and that's why we've set out the roadmap today.
00:22 We're pursuing not only the large-scale projects that we know that we need
00:25 but also some of the exciting new technologies like small modular reactors
00:29 and advanced nuclear fuel, which will be the technologies of the future as well.
