00:02 >> Okay, first I gotta give credit to the Texans and their players,
00:06 their coaches, they did a great job today.
00:09 So that's the first thing, we had picked a bad day to have a bad day and
00:14 that's all of us, that's players, coaches, offense, defense, special teams.
00:19 Just not good enough, but
00:20 I do wanna make sure that I credit D'Amico and his football team.
00:23 They did a nice job, I appreciate how our team fights,
00:26 I appreciate how they fought today and throughout this entire season.
00:30 They always came back and fought like crazy, so
00:33 disappointed from that perspective.
00:35 I appreciate our fans, a bunch of fans down here today,
00:38 they stuck with us this entire season.
00:40 And we don't like how it ended, none of us do, but we'll have to learn from it.
00:45 That's just the game of football, really.
00:47 With that, I'll take any questions.
00:48 >> You guys have been the number one team this whole year,
00:51 what happened to you guys today?
00:53 >> Yeah, without looking at it closely, Jake, I give them credit, really.
00:57 They did a nice job, gave up some big plays, but it's just disappointing.
01:03 But again, we win as a team, we lose as a team.
01:05 >> How shocked are you by the loss, not only the loss, but the score?
01:12 >> Yeah, I mean, again, Tony, that's football.
01:14 It got away from us very quickly there in the third quarter,
01:19 which was disappointing, but that's football.
01:21 >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:28 >> Yeah, and again, Maricad,
01:30 I'll tell you, not getting into particulars, but we just didn't play well enough.
01:36 Really, in any phase, we didn't play well enough, we didn't coach well enough.
01:39 >> How about the run backs on the interception?
01:42 I mean, we were long in traffic, both of them.
01:44 >> Yeah, I'd have to look at it.
01:46 Obviously, that's killer, giving up points like that.
01:49 >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:56 >> Yeah, again, we'll look at it like we
02:01 always do, but we just didn't do a good enough job, and I give them credit.
02:05 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:15 >> It's hard to say, Maricad.
02:16 I think we certainly didn't play well enough to win, so
02:21 we're all gonna share in that.
02:23 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:31 >> No, I mean, that's part of their system.
02:33 They did a nice job of that.
02:34 That's kinda what they do.
02:37 Again, they did a nice job.
02:38 >> Joe, I played so well for you guys.
02:42 Interception didn't let me hit the problems, though.
02:45 Can you just weigh in on what happened there in the third quarter?
02:48 Cuz it looked like the game was over after that.
02:50 >> Yeah, I just didn't do a good enough job.
02:53 I need to put him in a better position.
02:55 There's things that I can do better.
02:56 He's trying to make a play.
03:00 >> Kevin, these interceptions in five games didn't seem to matter.
03:04 I mean, were you guys as coaches concerned going into this game about that?
03:09 >> Well, I think you always look at every turnover, Tony, and
03:14 you look at what caused it and things that you can do better.
03:17 Obviously, we know we gotta take care of the football.
03:18 That's the formula for winning in this league.
03:20 We know that.
03:22 But I'm not gonna boil this game down to one or two plays.
03:25 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:30 >> Yeah, obviously,
03:31 we talked about him all week, Mary Kay.
03:33 He's a very good football player.
03:35 He operated really well today, made plays throughout the game.
03:40 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:46 >> Yeah, that's hard to say without
03:47 looking at it.
03:49 But we all share in this one.
03:52 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:56 >> Yeah, it's hard.
03:57 It is hard.
03:58 We all want this thing to keep going.
04:00 So that's very disappointing, obviously.
04:03 But it doesn't always turn out how you wanted it to, not for
04:07 a lack of effort, not for a lack of working their tails off all season long,
04:11 not for a lack of fighting their butts off all season long.
04:14 It's just, it didn't work out.
04:15 So that's the tough part of sports.
04:18 That's football, you can have days like this.
04:21 It was a bad day for us.
04:23 >> [INAUDIBLE]
04:28 >> Yeah, it's again,
04:32 hard to reflect on all of it right this minute, Mary Kay.
04:36 I appreciate how he battled today.
04:38 >> The Texans seem to have tacked at greatness in the beginning of the game.
04:42 Did you guys anticipate any findings?
04:46 >> Yeah, again, I'm not gonna get into particulars other than to say that
04:48 we did not do a good enough job, all of us.
04:52 >> [INAUDIBLE]
04:56 >> Just with the down and
04:58 distance where we were, felt that we were best taken into the half.
05:02 >> You guys had not gotten blown out all year except for that game.
05:04 >> [INAUDIBLE]
05:10 >> Yeah, it's disappointing, but
05:12 I'm gonna give credit to the Texans.
05:13 They did a nice job.
05:14 We just didn't play well enough, we didn't coach well enough.
05:18 >> Was protecting Joe a big concern coming in?
05:22 And do you feel that played a big role in this?
05:24 >> Yeah, they did a nice job pressuring.
05:27 We and I, we need to do a better job putting those guys in position.
05:31 >> [INAUDIBLE]
05:41 >> Well, obviously the result and
05:44 but I really wanna make sure they did a nice job.
05:50 I give credit to them and then we share in these, we share in the wins,
05:53 we share in the losses.
05:53 >> How did they take Cooper out of it?
05:57 >> Yeah, again, they did a nice job in their coverage.
06:02 >> [INAUDIBLE]
06:07 >> Yeah, he was okay, he was battling.
06:10 >> [INAUDIBLE]
06:20 >> I think what we'll worry about next
06:22 year, not right this minute.
06:25 I appreciate the question, but I think the main thing I wanna say to you guys is,
06:30 as disappointed as I am, and trust me, I am.
06:33 I really do appreciate this football team.
06:35 I appreciate all the hard work that they put in this entire season.
06:38 I appreciate how they battled throughout, they stuck together.
06:41 No one likes the result today, no one.
06:44 That's a somber locker room, cuz you work so hard.
06:47 You work so hard and for it to end this way, it's really, really tough.
06:51 Having said that, we're gonna own it.
06:52 We're gonna accept the blame and we're gonna give credit to them.
06:56 >> Good. >> Okay, thanks guys.
06:57 >> Thank you.
06:58 Thanks.
06:59 >> Thanks.
07:00 >> Thanks.
