00:00 A retired police clerk pleaded not guilty to mowing down three motorcycles near University

00:09 Tan Loek Leh was charged with three counts of reckless and dangerous driving under Section
00:14 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987, which provides for up to five years in jail, a maximum fine
00:20 of RM15,000 and being barred from driving for two years.
00:24 The 76-year-old is accused of crashing a Perodua Myvi into the three motorcycles at Jalat Bugit

00:32 Magistrate City Nurul Suhaillah Buharin set RM15,000 bail upon surety.
00:38 Earlier Deputy Prosecutor Nurul Attika Asharaf Ali requested the court to set bail at RM10,000
00:43 for each of the three charges.
00:45 However, Tan's lawyer Dev Kumar Ranjan asked for a lower bail since she had cooperated
00:50 with the police and was not a flight risk.
