00:00 Something we haven't been able to say for a while. There is a new head coach
00:04 for the New England Patriots. Wow. I know. What did you think of Gerard Mayo's
00:10 introductory press conference? I think he's not Bill Belichick. I mean, just the
00:16 fact that he was jokingly calling Robert Kraft, who's like the 10th wealthiest
00:22 American, "Thunder." I know! Nobody knew that nickname. Of course not! Who would have the audacity to go,
00:29 "Oh, Thunder." When he's like, "I'm worth 80 billion dollars." But it was refreshing.
00:35 It was. Again, Bill Belichick's got six Super Bowls, one of the greatest coaches of all
00:40 time. Not the most personable guy. Not really open and enduring to the media.
00:47 Who knows if Gerard Mayo is going to be any good as a coach. He's had success on
00:53 the Patriots staff, but he's never been a head coach. Never been like the guy, the
00:58 assistant coach. The main assistant, because Belichick won't allow that.
01:02 But just the fact that he will have some give and take with the media and that
01:06 he'll answer questions and not just say, "We're on to Cincinnati!" for every
01:11 question. So let's just call it refreshing, a good start. It's promising
01:16 for the Patriots now. They got to do something with the third draft pick and get better.
01:19 But as a behind-the-podium guy, Patriots are now going to be not just an oase to
01:25 the Patriots and Bill to turn the channel. Maybe he'll actually say something worth
01:27 listening to. I thought it was interesting how he says he coaches with
01:30 love. He starts with love and that's how he gets respect of his players and his
01:34 team. It is, like you said, refreshing. Something Belichick never said. Not saying
01:39 he didn't show it, but Belichick never told his players, "I love you." He just said,
01:42 "We're gonna win and go to Cincinnati." And they won. They loved him for that. Yeah.
01:46 It's just a different coaching style.
