00:00 Let's talk about Patrick Mahomes at 7700 on FanDuel for the Chiefs and talk about,
00:08 because off air coming into the segment, you were saying how all Kansas City needs is Patrick Mahomes.
00:13 So is it safe to say that however many lineups you're playing today are going to feature Mahomes? Go.
00:18 Look, I think you have to have the Mahomes lineup right away.
00:21 You know, you've got Kansas City, Buffalo. You've got Detroit, Tampa. Right.
00:24 So typically you see at some point one of these games is going to go sideways.
00:29 Yesterday, none of them went sideways. Right. Both big favorites ended up winning at home.
00:33 OK, but we've learned enough.
00:35 We watched enough NFL playoffs where all these games aren't going to go to every single home favorite.
00:39 It's just not going to happen. So I think Kansas City is that perfect one, too, where I want to be in on Kansas City.
00:45 I think Kansas City people are, you know, I think there's a fatigue in the marketplace.
00:49 You know, when you're so good for so long. And I think this is the perfect antidote to what has been a weird season for the Chiefs,
00:55 because the Chiefs have been measured now by Super Bowl appearances and Super Bowl wins.
01:00 The Chiefs are measured now by not just winning games, but how much they're winning games.
01:04 I think kind of took its toll on them this season. I think things just really didn't click and put a lot of pressure on themselves.
01:09 The perfect thing for the Kansas City Chiefs was to have that week 18 kind of off to play in subzero temperatures against Miami Dolphins,
01:16 kick the crap out of them and then become underdogs on the road.
01:20 This is Patrick Mahomes first road game in the playoffs in his career. So drink that in for a second.
01:25 That's a good the Chiefs have been. So now you've got an opportunity where they're playing underdog.
01:30 They're playing spoiler. They're playing chip on the shoulder. Oh, wait, you don't think we're good enough to beat the Buffalo Bills.
01:35 We're the underdog in this game. The team that goes to the Super Bowl all the time.
01:39 The teams that win rings all the time. OK, this is exactly what Andy Reid needs.
01:43 I think it's exactly what the Chiefs need, which is to get out of their head to get back to basics and to be the underdog.
01:50 And I love my homes. Now, look, the pivot point is to go cheaper here and look for the other upset, which could be the Tampa game,
01:56 because Tampa has enough weapons to really pick apart that week secondary of the Detroit Lions.
02:01 So Baker may feel very much in play in this game, too. But my homes is the one that I'm going to go with him.
02:06 My home's pairing him with either Kelsey or Rushie Rice makes the most sense to me.
02:10 It's just what we've seen. Also, the Buffalo Bills has seen a lot of injuries on the defensive side of the football last week in that game against Pittsburgh.
02:16 That was a very tough injury attrition game. Some of those guys are back. Some aren't.
02:20 But I think this is the big thing to look at here, which is where you're going to put your money at the end of the day.
02:25 I want to put the ball in Patrick Mahomes hands. And Josh Allen has been brilliant.
02:28 Probably Josh Allen is the salary. So Josh Allen last week on the show, you know, we talked about predictions for Josh Allen, what he was capable of doing.
02:35 We talked about him having, you know, two touchdowns on on the ground, two touchdowns in the air.
02:40 Well, he had four touchdowns at the end of the day. Josh Allen did exactly what we thought he was going to do.
02:45 And this is a great rivalry. And we we don't have as many of them as we used to have back in the day, back in our day when we were kids.
02:53 We had a lot of these. But the Buffalo Bills can't say Chiefs has become one.
02:56 This is another chapter in that story. And I think this is going to be a really fun game this evening.
03:01 I'm going to put my money where Patrick Mahomes is and Patrick Mahomes on the road.
03:05 And I think there's a really interesting spot here for them to kind of play underdog, which is a role they haven't played in so many years.
03:12 I think it's exactly the antidote, exactly the medicine that this team needs after a pretty shaky season that still saw them make the playoffs quite easily.
