00:02 - Let's talk Baker Mayfield, okay?
00:07 No, straight up, let's do it, man.
00:08 Because I really like what you're saying here.
00:11 I really feel that, you mentioned playing with house money.
00:14 Mayfield and this team are just walking with that,
00:17 we've been here before attitude,
00:19 even though they really haven't.
00:20 It's kind of like the super seniors on campus,
00:23 or all the freshmen are kind of still looking around.
00:25 So, Baker Mayfield, 253 and a half,
00:28 over or under this number and why?
00:31 And then pass that ball when you're done, please.
00:33 - It's gonna be over for me on this one too.
00:36 And 253 is a very achievable number in this circumstance.
00:41 Let's reiterate and go back to the tape,
00:43 the 27th ranked pass rush, pass defense, excuse me.
00:46 A team that is tough to run the ball against.
00:50 Baker Mayfield's gonna have to throw.
00:51 Now, Baker Mayfield could also make mistakes, we know that.
00:54 But it's the one thing he's been better about this year.
00:57 It's funny, he's only had one game all season,
01:00 where he threw two picks.
01:01 And that was game against New Orleans a couple weeks ago.
01:04 So, outside of that,
01:06 no multiple interception game from Baker Mayfield.
01:10 So, I think that's a very important thing.
01:12 That's the thing that's really, I think,
01:13 been the most frustrating part of Baker Mayfield
01:15 in his career, which is in college,
01:18 there's certain throws you can make,
01:19 there's certain risks you can take,
01:21 that you just can't take in the NFL.
01:23 And he kind of learned that the hard way,
01:24 I think, in Cleveland.
01:26 And sometimes you gotta be humbled,
01:28 and he's bounced around a little bit.
01:30 People forget the stint in Carolina,
01:32 and then a little stint in LA,
01:33 and he's kind of bounced around a little bit.
01:35 And now he's kind of settled here in Tampa.
01:37 And he's got Godwin, he's got Rashad White,
01:39 who can also catch the football.
01:40 He's got Mike Evans, who's made the most of,
01:41 not to mention Kate Autin,
01:43 not to mention some other wide receivers
01:44 that he's made relevant at certain times.
01:46 So, 253.5, I think, is a really easy over for me in this one.
01:50 Let's look at the game log, shall we?
01:52 Against Green Bay a few weeks ago,
01:53 December 17, 381, 283, 309.
01:57 Then the 137 against Carolina,
02:00 but we all know he came up lame in that game
02:01 with the ankle issue.
02:02 So I'm not gonna put too much on him on that one,
02:04 'cause he was playing hurt.
02:05 So as long as he's healthy,
02:08 look at last week against Philly, another bad secondary.
02:10 What did he do, Matt?
02:11 337 against Philly last week.
02:14 So this is one that I think is a little low.
02:18 This is one, if you wanna look for more plus money,
02:21 you start pushing those alt yards.
02:23 And when you start pushing them,
02:24 you're gonna start finding,
02:24 I think, some good situations there.
02:26 You're gonna find some plus money
02:27 when you push this to the 270, 280 range,
02:30 even up to 300, I think you can get away with in this one.
02:33 And I think that's what you're probably looking to do here,
02:35 because if Detroit is indeed the favorite for a reason,
02:39 and if they are playing from behind,
02:42 then why don't you continue to push the football?
02:45 Right now, over on Fandle, you can get plus 275
02:48 for the passing yards, a plus 116 for 300-yard game.
02:52 You're getting plus 210.
02:54 So you can double up your money there on this.
02:56 And from a fantasy perspective,
02:57 I think that's a good spot here
03:00 for Baker Mayfield to push that 300 total.
03:02 I like the 275 better.
03:03 I don't wanna get too greedy,
03:05 but I think the 253 is just way too low for Baker Mayfield.
